is troubled with pain, and dull, heavy sensation, con
siderable loss of memory: accompanied with painfnl

., When tho report of the Oommitteo con-

which this action was based, was under con-
jideration, some members voted for the adop
tion of that report on the assurance of the
gpjjler that the appropriation bill could (or
jvosldj be introduced and acted upon in the
gsil way, after three regular readings; that it
jaald (or should) be considered section by scc-

terlhcn raised a point of order, insisting upon
first ruling of tho Speaker, who replied that
inconsequence of instructions from General
jerry, be had changed his mind, and ruled to
entertain the motion to act on the Senate reso

gding wo hold to be in violation of the Consti-

Bnt, according to the statement of the Speak
er, made to this House, General Terry is alone
responsible for setting aside tho Constitution of
Georgia, in matters pertaining to the vital in-
tefesta of the people. It thus appears that he
his arrogated tho sole right to determine the
Burner in which the General Assembly shall

has assumed to set at naught the most sa
wed rights of a free people, as recognized in
ill representative governments.

Protest or Bishops Against tho Papal
Infallibility Dogma.
[ Correspondence of the Hew York Herald.
Rome, April 11, 1870.
, The following highly important document
us been adopted by many of the Bishops in
woD'iaiice at the Ecumenical, and presented
>o the Pope, on the subject of infallibility. The
; ! .kt is headed by the name of the Most
‘tverend Arch-bishop Purcell, of Cincinnati,
which gives its promulgation, if possi-
»■ an additional importance:
•'lost Holy Father—Humbly prostrate at
“ e feet of your Holiness, we most earnestly
'White that the question on .the definition
- the infallibility of the Sovereign Pontiff as
>orma of faith may not be proposed to the
‘tican Council.
Among other reasons of this, supplication
«bcg to adduce only three, which appear to
* sufficient:
1. Bceausc the discussion of this question
evidently show a want of union, and es-
—tally unanimity among the Bishops.
~ Because, on account of the circumstan-
w which we arc placed in countries where
Tesies not only exist with impunity, but are
aiinant, this definition, instead of attracting,
Nd. alienate those whom we seek by all
Christian means to lead to tho true fold of
Christ
3. Because we anticipate endless questions
*21 arise, which may interfere with and pre-
Jat the work of our ministry, and cause the
mats of this Council to be lost to those who
not members of the Holy Catholic. Church.
Having laid bare our hearts and sincere in-
we implore Almighty God to avert
evjj f ro m the Church, and that he.may
lL'umine and direct you with His holy spirit.

under use the ulcers gradually healed, and her
general health greatly improved. It certainly saved
her much suffering, and perhaps her life. I regard
Koskoo a specific for all Fcrofnlous affections. Year
Koskoo also cared my wife of dyspepsia, from which

a long experience has proved of roal practical use.
Having had the refusal of nearly ever? invention in
watchmaking originating in this country or in Eu
repo, only those were finally adopted which seven-
testing by tho most skillful artisans in ourworks, and
long nse on tho part of the public, demonstrated ;<
bo essential to correct and enduring time-keeping.
Among the many improvements we would particu-
larizo:
The invention and use of a centre-pinion of pecu
liar construction, to prevont damage to tho train by
the breakage of main springs, is original with the
American Watch Company, who, having had tho re
fusal of all other contrivances, adopted Fogg’s Patent
pinion as being the best and faultless.
Hardened and tempered hair springs, now univer
!Iy admitted by watchmakers to be
sally admitted by watemnakers to be tbo best, are
used in all grades of Waltham Watches.
All Waltham Watches have dust-proof caps, pro
tecting the movement from dust and lessening the
necessity of the freqnent cleaning necessary in other
Watobcs.
Oar new patent stem-winder, or koylesi Watch, i
already a decided success and a great improvement
on any stem-winding watch in the American market
and by far the cheapest watch of its quality now of
fered to tho public. To those living in portions of
tho United States where watchmakers do not abound,
watchos with the above mentioned improvements
which tend to insure accuraor, cleanliness, durability
and convenience, mast prove invaluable.
Every Watch guaranteed by tho Company.
