Savannah, October 11.—The following
is the Cotton Exchango Report for Sep
tember :
Georgia—Ninety-tbreo replies received
from fifty-four counties. Weather da
ring tho month of September in Southern
Georgia unfavorable, being too much
rain. In Middle Georgia tho whole rath
er favorable, while in the northern por
tion of tbo State it has been exceedingly
favorable; where too much rain prevailed
picking was interrupted and considerable
damage from rust, shedding bolls and
worms. In most sections of the State
tho plant is twell fruited, but where
the drought effected it, it was followed
by excessive rains and there have been
shedding of both forms and boils. It is
estimated that about onc-tbird of the
crop of the State has been picked. The
yield of northern Georgia per acre will be
about 300 pounds, while in Southern
Georgia it will be 400 or 600 pounds.
Florida—Twenty-three replies received
from thirteen coanties. The weather
during : he past month has been unfavor
able. Excessive rains stopped the pick
ing and caused the bolls to rot end sprout.
Complaints of damage from rust, shed
ding aud worms are general. It is esti
mated that 350 pounds of seed to the
acre may be oonsidered a very free esti-
maio^of productions for this year’s crop.
Aa compared with laBt year the yield
of the State will be less. The Sea Island
section had too tnuob rain. Ticking was
stopped and the open cotton sproutod in
the bolls. This was very short last year
and now tho prospect is that the out
turn of this year’s crop may not exceed
that of last year.

HairVigor,
FOR RESTORING GRAY HAIR TO ITS
NATURAL VITALITY AND COLOR.
It is a most agreeable dressing, wliiclt
Is at once harmless and effectual, for
preserving the hair. It restores, villi
the gloss and freshness of youth, faded or
gray, light, and red hair, to a rich brown,
or deep black, as may be desired. By its
use thin hair is thickened, and baldness
ofton though not always secured. It
checks falling of the hair immediately,
and causes a new growth in all cases
where the glands are not decayed; while
to hrashy, weak, or otherwise diseased
hair, it imparts vitality and strength,
and renders it pliable.
-The Vigor cleanses tbo scalp, cures
and prevents the formation of dandruff;
and, by its qooling, stimulating, and
soothing properties, it heals most if not
all of the humors and diseases peculiar
to tho scalp, keeping it cool, elean, and
soft, under which conditions diseases ef
th* scalp and hair aro impossible.
As a Dressing for Ladies’ Hair,
Tho Vig ob is incomparable. It is color
less, contains neither oil nor dye, and
will not soil white cambric. It imparts
an agreeable and lasting perfume, and
as an article for tho toilet It is economi
cal and unsurpassed in its excellence.
