Horaco Greeley, who was here on a visit, delivered an address at the Methodist Episcopal Church this afternoon. Tha notice being short, the audi ence was not very large, though highly iutolli- gent, composed principally of Southern men. Mr. Greeley said ho thought it highly desirable to have a respite of politics this year, in antici pation of tho gravo issues that would have to be mot next year. Reconstruction had been thought slow, but it hud been fust enough. Had all been agreed to live six years under military rule, it would have been better, becanso of the imposition of light taxes. JullOtf New Postoffice Quarters.—We understand that the Government has leased, or is about to lease, rooms in the now Conrt-honse for the Maoon Postoffice, at a rental of $1000 per an num. It Is the purpose of onr present post master to fix up his new qnarters in convenient and comfortable style, both for the good of the pnblie and the employes of the office, and they will be ready for oconpancy on the first of Oo- tober, the day on -which the new Court-house will probably be tamed over to the building committee. The Studebaker Wagon is still far ahead of all competition, and as the season is now coming on when wagons are aoeded by our farmers and planters, it would be well for us to state where they can bo had.
