could make it ao. The crowd was not, of eonrae,
so large as it was last year at the State Fair.
And yet the attendance was larger than w,s
ever known before at a mere district or county
Fair in this State. Some rare specimens of
and machinery are on exhibition, and the qnan
tity and variety of live stock is much greater
than sras anticipated. Few State Fairs, even,
surpass this county exposition, either in the
riety of the articles on exhibition, the general
attendance, or the excellent management under
which it is being conducted.
FaTAn ltarutoAD Accident —Mr. Woollen,

Bender’s free “lay out,” at Atlanta, which
noticed yesterday, seems to have had the usual
effect, judging from tho following from
Constitution, of yesterday:
Accidents.—Dr. Kinney and A. T. Finney
were riding out together yesterday evening.
Dr. Kinney was thrown out and had an arm
broke. Finney escaped unhurt.
B. Blalock and Charles Shephard were thrown
ont of a buggy while driving on Marietta street
and alightlg injured.
And this from the Sun, same date:
Shocking DEPnavirr. —Two women, yester
day, walked together up Whitehall street

walk. About midway between Alabama and
Hunter streets they began to fight each other.
They were arrested and earried to the guard

The Geeat Socthebn Piano Mancfagtoet.—
We refer with special pleasure to the advertise
ment of the Great Sonthem Piano Manufactory
of Messrs. William Kuabe & Co., of Baltimore.
This factory ia now one of the largest to the
£rorld; it is a magnificent five story structure,
fronting an entire block on Entav/street, and
covering, together with tbe lumber yard at
tached, some two and onehelf acres of ground.
Threo hundred and fifty men are constantly
employed turning out over forty instruments
per week.
Among the thousand and one Pianos offered
to tbo pnblie, we scarcely know any instrument
so f ally nnitiug all the desirable qualities sought
for ns He Kuabe Piano. It is a matter of some
difficulty aid perplexity to inexperienced per
sons to selects good instrument of any capacity.
We too often roly upon tho judgment of friends
tho selection of a piano, and are thus fre
quently disappointed. Tbe only sure way, in
our opinion, is to go to the best maker. For
this reason, we recommend to onr readers to
purchaso Pianos of Wm. Knlb© A Co.’s manu
facture. This will relieve them the vexatious
necessity of wasting timo in a long search. The
reputation of the Knabo Pianos is an infallible
guaranty of excellence. For durability we would
specially recommend them, as being mado in a
Southern City, wiH special view to the trying
changes of a Southern climate.
