The low barometer' which was Thursday af ternoon in Illinois, has moved to Lake Ontario, and a secondary area developed duriDg the night in North Carolina, and ia now over Long Island Sonnd. High northeast winds have ac companied these disturbances from Lake Mi chigan to Virginia and New York. They are now followed by brisk westerly wind* over the same area. Fresh easterly winds, with threat, erring weather, have set in on the New England coast. An area of high barometer has advanced eastward into Illinois and Arkansas. Clear weather, with north winds, prevail west of Al abama. The pressure has fallen decidedly on the Pacific coast. Probabilites: Rising barometer with clear and clearing weather will probably prevail on Satnrday from New York to Lake Superior, and southward to the Golf. The storm in New York will probably pass north-eastward over New England, reaching Nova Scotia on Satur- diy night; the high north-west winds on Lake Erie and New Jersey following closely in its rear. Cautionary signals are ordered for this eveninglt Cleveland, Buffalo, Oswego, Cape May, New York, New London, Boston and Portland.
