D os Aoirs.—There are some good citizens
of Macon who havo complied with the law by
pnrehaaing badge* for their dogs, who complain
that go great a number of dogs are still permit
ted to ran abont the streets without any eri-
denoo that their tax has been paid. It is cer
tainly tree that a east number of dogs bare the
freedom of the dly who do not wear the legal
authority therefor. They may be aeon at any
time of tbe day, while at night they bold oon
ventiona in all thickly settled neighborhoods,
and every deg of them insists upon haring tha
floor at once. The oonseqnsnoe is there iaa
yowling and a jowwriag that would put fo obama
the boat radical legislature the South ever saw.

dog tax from those who are williag to discharge
