witnesses testified to the amiability cf the pari-

The Mother's Storr<
Mrs. Ellen Hardin Walworth was the next
witness, and, being sworn, said: I am the
mother of F. H. Walworth. I was married to
M. T. Walworth in 1832, on July 29 ih. In the
anmmer of 18GI, I ceased to live at Saratoga,
and went to Kentucky, near Louisville, my
brother Lemuel goirg with me, and all my
children. I lived there until 1867. My hue-
band did not go there with me. I lived in Ken
tucky three years wilbcnt a-eing him. He did
not rems'n in Saratoga. Wnen I went away to
Kentucky be promised to meet me there. Where
be went to I don't know. Dniing the fi st win
ter he »as in Washington and afterwards in
Saratoga. Three yea's sfter I first went to
Kentucky my husband came to see me and re
mained for abont six weeks. I next saw him
