meanor, before Jndge Hill.
Thia misdemeanor consisted in his having nsed
moat violent and vulgar language to a lady over
in East Maoon, which language, ns laid before
the oourt in special presentment, Is decidedly
nngenteel, and nnbocoming a gentleman who
ia talking In the preaenco of ladies, and not at
all adapted to reportorlal purposes.
This caso la likely to give Mr. Wilson soma
trouble, as tho toallmony against him la strong
and lie is rather In a dilapidated fiaanoial con

Tnr. COtJMTT COURT.
The Result orOne Mentha’ Business.
No ease of any especial interest wsa disposed
of by Jndge Weems yesterday morning. A case
of wife-whipping wsa called, bnt it was contin
ned nntil Tuesday.
Warrants were issued for several parties,
which will famish the court some very inter
esting business daring the early part of tho
week.
Tho County Court has now been in operation
for ono month, and it may interest the people
to know something of the amount of business
that has come before it.
Upon its civil docket there are forty-one
oases, for amconta varying from $23 to $200.
Considerably more than a third of the cases are
for $100 each.
8ixty erimlnal cases have originated in this
oourt, twenty-nine of which have been disposed
of. Of those disposed of nineteen have been
convicted. Of the convicts some have paid
their fines, some are in jail, and some in the
chain gang, bnt a considerable majority of them
have boon bound ont, as the law directs, thus
relieving tho county of all expense of feeding
and guarding them.
Of tho remtlaing criminal cases, most of
which are for vagrancy, the defendants have
left the county, thus relieving tho people of
tho nniaance of their presence and tho harden
of their support.
Sixty cases of misdemeanor will be sent down
to this*eonrt from the Superior Oourt, making
ninety-one cases that will then be on the crim
inal docket. This will save the oonnty a very
large jury txpinse.
The court, so far, has made for the county
$140 in fines, besides tbe various items of ex
pense which it has savod.
Tho indications nuw are that, in one year, the
court will pay into the county treasury at least
$2,500 in fines, and save the county fully $3,500
in jail expenses alone. Add to this tho probable
amount that will be saved in jury and other
Superior Court expenses, and the public will be
gin to see the advantage to be gained through
the County Court.
Out of ail the criminal easts that have been
tried so far, a jury has been demanded in only
ono case.

IHI3 Essence ia warranted to poaeess, in a con

JAMAICA GINGER, and will bo found on trial. &n
EXCELTERT FAMILY MEDICINE.
It is excellent in all norvon* affections, some of
the most evident of which ar», an oppression or
sense of weight and fl itolency, succeeded by ne>
vous headache, giddiness, etc These it removes,
by acting on the etomach as a gentle ttimu us, dif
fusing a mild and cordial warmth, grotaftlly tX hil-
erating tbo nerves, and giving tone to the digestivo j
organs. It is al?o useful in OHRONIO RBECMA-1
TI»M, LUMBAGO, etc., esan external application '
to the parts affected. When applied externally, it
should be mixed with equal parts of brandy or
spirits.
To the aged it will prove a great comfort. To
the dxspeptio. and to those who are predisposed to
pout, neuralgia, etc., it gives great relief, and to
the inebriate, who wishes to reform, but whose
stomach is constantly craving the noxijunliquor.it
is invaluable—giving tone to the digestive organs
aid a rength to resist temptation Indeed, the
value of JAMAICA GINGER is so well known and
apprec.ated, that we deem it unnecessary to say
any moro. Every family should havo a bottle con
stantly in the house, and we offer them a prepara
tion equal to—if not the best—in the market
