the residence of Mr. Aaron Stripling. Five
dogs were lying under a shelter near the tree,
and after the stroke, one of them jumped over a
feneo near by and fell deed. Tho other dogs
were not bnrt. Mrs. Stripling was silting at a
window of hor residence and felt the shock of
tho electr.city, and alrodtsticctiy smelt the odor
of ozone.
Oar informant docs not slate whether or not
the deceased was a “jailer stamp-toiled dog,"
hot it is to be hoped it was. At any rale, the
hiding of this one deg is some compensation fot
the do7.:n sheep that was killed by lightning

ment of the liver for the last three or four years,
