The Guide to Holixbss for August,
is an exceedingly interesting num
ber. Its report of the great national
camp-meeting at Round Lake is very
entertaining. We wish we could have
been there and enjoyed the exercises
of the occasion. The massess of the
northern people are fanatical on par
ty politics and what they call “free
dom”; but the head may be very far
gone astray, by the force of circnm
stances, and the heart still retain its
honest purpose and religion fer-
ver. God looks at the heart : ‘‘Give
me thy heart."
The Guide to Holiness is a most
useful and admirable publication, and
we would be pleased to see it upon
every centre table in the land. We
fully endorselits view of sanctification,
which, it seems to us, is obliged to be
c jrrect.
