THE ROAD TO HEALTH.
HOLLOWAY’S PILLS.
CURE OF A DISORDERED LIVER AND BAD DIGESTION.
Copv of a letter from Mr. R W Kirkas. Chemist, 7,
Pre«cott street. Liverpool, dated 6th June, 1851.
To Professor Holloway:
Sib. —Sour Pills aud Ointment have stood the high
est on our sale list of Proprietary Medicines for some
years. A. customer to whom I can refer for any en
quiries, desires me to let you know the particulars of
lier case. She had been troubled for years with a dis
ordered liver, and bad digestion. On the last occasion,
however, the virulence of the attack was so alarming,
and the inflammation set in so severely, that doubts
Wore entertained of her not being able to bear up un
der it; fortunately, she was induced to try your Pills,
and she informs me that after the first, and each suc
ceeding ose, she had great relief. She continued t*
take them, aud although she used only three boxes, she
is now Iti the enjoyment of perfect’health. I could
have sent you many more cases, but the above, from
the severity of the attack, and the speedy cure, I
think speaks much in favor of your astonishing Pills.

time they effected a perfect cure.

The following commendation is from an agent re

Mbssrs Soovil & Mbad— Gentlemen : The He
brew Piaster is becoming popular in this section. There
is a lady in this county who says she would not be
without this Plaster for five hundred dollars a year.
She was afflicted for some time with an enlargement of
the spleen, which gave her a great deal of pain. The
swelling and pain had extended up nearly to the arm
pit, and occasionally shecouid scarcely breathe. She
was conined fer a considerable time, during which
she was attended by some of our ba*t physicians,
but they gave her no relief. She procured” a box

constantly. These faats you are at liberty to use as
you think proper—they are substantially true.
Respectfully, yours &c.

Dr. Aybr. Lowell Dear Sir : I have for years
been afflicted with Asthma in the worst form, so that I
have been obliged to sleep in my chair for a larger part
of the time, being unable to breathe on my bed. Ihad
tried a great many medicines, to no purpose, until my
physician prescribed, as an experiment, your CIIERY

At first it seemed to make me worse; hut in less than
a week I began to experience the most gratifying re

is entirely removed. I can sleep on my bed with com

*• It is seldom that we recommend what are termed

“ Scott's Weekly” said, Aug. 25 •
‘•Dr. Hoofland's German Bitters, manufactured by
