We are glad to record the success of this valuable
remedvi'erDyspepsia, as we believe it supplies a
desideratum’in the medieal world long needed.
The wretched imitators and counterfeiters have
withdrawn their nostrums from tho market, and the

r,/ \ real lllt‘->ing to the Afflicted. —
JJffL Dr, M'Lane, the inventor of the Cele
brated Liver I ills, used these Pills for several
wars in his practice, before he could be induced
}.. oiler them to the public in such a manner as to
make them known throughout tbo country. This
learned physician felt the same repugnance that
all high-minded men of science feel in entering the
li«l against those unscrupulous empirics who ob
trude their useless nostrums upon the public, and
rely upon a system of puffing to sustain them.
Convinced, however, of the real value of the Liver
Bills, and influenced by the plan dictates of duty,
the Doctor finally sacrificed his delicate feelings on
the altar of public good. His great medicine has
not disappointed Ihe expections of the medical
practii. mers, at whose instance he was induced to
forego his inclinations. From every quarter do we
hear the most gratifying accounts of its wonderful
curative effects—the East and the West, the North
and the South, are alike laden with ‘‘tidings ot
gr.utjoy" from the afflicted. These wonderful
P.ils have completely conquered that great scourge
ai America, the Liver Complaint.

The FURNITURE will be sold at the same time
and place.
The Gordon Springs is one of the most beautiful
and healthful situations in the South, and combine
as many or more advantages, either as a watering
place or private residence, than any place in the
South-west. It is situated at the head of a beautiful
and fertile valley, at the base of “ Taylor’s Ridge,”
in Walker county, Georgia, surrounded by majestic
mountains, affording a most wonderful andpictures
que’seenery. There aro a great number of excellent
Springs, and of as great a varioty as over gushed
from the earth —Chalybeato, Magnesia, Freestone,
Limestone, Ac., Ac. There are no less than 20 or
25 of these within a circumference of one milo.
The climate is delightful, bracing and hoalthful.
There are attached to the Springs, 1,400 acres of
LAND, about half of which is fine oultivatable
land—from 300 to 400 acres cleared and in a fine
