depot, on the arrival of the cars, will receive pas
.sengers who may wish to stop at the Augusta Ho
tel, and at the proper hour convey them, in due
time, to the departing cars. A Portei, attached to
the Hotel, will be in attendance to receive and
take charge of baggage; he will be known by a
badge on his hat.

A CHEROKEE FARM FOR SALE.
THE subscriber having removed from the
Cherokee country, offers for sale one of
the most desirable and fertile farms in upper
Georgia. Situated on the Etowah River, Cass
county, four miles from Cartersville, (the R. R. De
pot,) containing about 300 acres, 150 to 175 of
which are under good fence and in cultivation,
about equally divided between river bottom land
and upland, and produced 50 bushels Corn and
and 2,000 lbs seed Cotton per acre. On the premi
ses are a small neat frame Dwelling and Ne
gro Houses, nearly new, and other out Buildings,
located on an eminence commanding an extensive
and fine view of the mountains and adjacent plan
tations There is is also, a bold Spring, contigeous
to the Dwelling, and a small stream running
through the cleared land, so that it can be divided
by cross fences into about three equal parts, affor
ding running water to each. There is also, an al
most unbounded outlet to Stock.
The place has the reputation of. being healthy
and a good neighborhood, Churches and Schools
near by. The place will be sold, a great bargain,

broken and a Sorrel HORSEfball face, 5 years
old, well formed, near 5 feet high, Bridle, Saddlo
and Blanket Stolen. The Horse was tracked 10
miles on the Augusta Road- I exp t ho was rodo
direetly there, and wilf be dispose i of or turned
loose. The Saddle is fair leather, quilted seat.—
Any information of the Horse will be thankfully
received, and reasonable compensation paid for
trouble and expenses. The roward offered will be
paid for apprehending the thief, with evidence suf
ficient to convict.

the lower floor to garrett, with new and splendid

sleeping rooms, all plastered, in tho house, and the
Proprietors feel safe in saying, they can comforta
bly accommodate over one hundred persons.
No pains nor expense will be spared to render
those who may prtronisc their House comfortable,
and their Table and Bar will be supplied with the
best to be had.
The Stages to Lawrenceville, Clarksville, Ac.,
start from this House,and ample arrangements have
been made to accommodate all who wish to take
this route. Hacks and Horses, to other sections,
will be kept in readiness.
This Hotel will bo the Break ast House for the
down train, and an up and down train for passen
gers pass and re-pass it every twelve hours, so that
those wishing to visit the Mountain have the priv
ilege of taking the morning or evening train.
Arrangements have been made with the
Rail Road Company for the conveyance ot Mil
itary or Fire Companies and Pleasure Parties, de
sirous of visiting the Mountain, and they can ba
accommodated by giving short notice.
