I have been absent a great portion of this time,

durability and quality of Cotton. e .
I shall now devote my individual attention in
tho shop, an l see that every part of each Gin is put
in the neatest possible manner : in short, I shall
make the orginal Oglesby Gin, which has been so
celebrated lor durability and fine Cotton, having
taken the premium in this State as well as that of
c ou th Carolina in every instance except one, and
jy. , it was said by foreign dealers that my Cotton
ffii- of a superrior quality. In conclusion, my late
;ai .movements added to my former Gins, cannot fail
;, -jVe entire satisfaetion. I will alter any old

cars, via Wilmington, N. C., from which point two
daily trains are despatched, at 8 A. M. and 2 P.
M.; the 8 o'clock only connecting at Weldon, N. C.,
with the Seaboard and Roanoke Railroad to Nor
folk, thence by steamers to Baltimore, and both
trains connecting at Weldon with the lines to Pe
tersburg, Richmond, Washington, Baltimore. Phila
delphia, and New York. The public is respectful
ly informed that the steamers of thoso lines are in
Sr3t rate condition, and are navigated by well known
and experienced commanders; the Rail Roads are
in fine order, (the Wilmington and Weldon, as
well as the Seaboard and Roanoke, having recent

both safety and despatch. By these routes, passen
gers availing themselves of the first train, may reach
Baltimore in 40 hours, Philadelphia in 45 hours,
and New Y’ork in 50i hours; and by the second
train, they arrive in Baltimore in 50 hours, Phila
delphia in 56 hours, and New l"ork in 61$ hours.

At Woldou. passengers can have choice of Routes,
either by Seaboard & Roanoke Railroad and Bay
Lino of Steamers, or by Railroad through Peters
burg, Richmond and Washington City, to Balti
more. Through Tickets by either of these Lines
can be purchased in Wilmington.
Through Tickets from Montgomery to Charles
ton will be received on the South Carolina Railroad,
between Augusta and the Wilmington and Man
chester Railroad.
Passengers desirous of going North by this
Route, will have their Baggage chocked at Augus
ta, to the Wilmington and Manchester Railroad.

TRANSPORTATION BETWEEN SAVAN
NAH AND AUGUSTA.

T> otfcriug the services of the steamer FASHION,
J_ (the first boat of this line) to the merchants of
Georgia and Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee,
we would ask for her that patronage which her
construction and light draught of water merits.
The Fashion is a home enterprise and owned ex
clusively hy Capt T.N. Philpot (her commander)
and myself, whose entire attention will bo given to
the interest of her patrons.
This boat was built in this city, and great care
has been taken in her construction to make her
worthy of the trade for which she is intended.
Hor capacity is about 2000 bales Cotton, her
draught es water only 13 inches, which will enable
her at all seasons of the year, to deliver her freight
promptly.
Her entire cargo will be taken between decks,
which will not only prevent damage to goods in
case of snagging, but will add much to the condi
tion of packages discharged from her. Mr. M. A.
Cohen is the agent of this line in Savannah, where
suitable wharves and warehouse have been provi
ded in a central situation for the reception of Cot
ton, Merchandize, Ac.
The Fashion will run in connection with the
New York and Philadelphia steamship, peliveriDg
goods at this point in five days from either of those

dence. — I have been afflicted for the last
three years with Rheumatism in both legs, and
have tried many medicines without success, until

The above negroes have been rnnaways since Ist
January last. Billy is about 5 feet 6 inches high,
black complexion and good countenance, and is
about thirty-two years old. He has a scar on tba
right arm below, and one on thelcft arm above the
elbow. He was raised in Upper Three Runs, Barn
well District, S. C., and has a wife at that place.
HKtily is about 5 feet 4 inches high, about 31
years old, and a small scar on his left arm ;
forehead high, and inclining back. He was raised
in Barnwell District, by Jefferson Esyd.
