MUSICAL
V7"» LaTASTE lespectfully informs his friends
* that his Music School will be continued
through the winter. He would in this connection
state that the common and ruinous system of
marking the fingering, meets with no favor from
him. All artifical aids should be discarded. One
cannot make a painter who uses theorems, or
sketches on a pane oi glass. Music is not printed
with the fingering over the notes, hence the scholar
should be taught with this fact in view, to finger by
rule and not by figures.
