COUNTY.

Court door in Elberton, on the first
Tuesday m DECEMBER next, between tbe legal
hours ol sale, the following valuable LANDS, be
longing to the estate of Singleton W. Allen, de
ceased, late of Elbert county, to wit:
One tract of Five Hundred and Eighty-throe
acres, embracing what is known as the Bibb place,
with a reservation of one aero ax the Ferry landing.
One tract of Two Hundred and Forty-three acres,
lyirg on both sides of Vann’s Creek, and immedi
ately below tho Bibb place.
One tract of Six Hundred and Thirty-four acres,
including most of the land known as the Christler
place.
One tract of One Thousand and Ninety acres,
including the late residence of the deceased, with
tho Mill place attached ; together with the Island
opposite thereto, known as Heard’s Island, con
taining One Hundred and Seventy four acros, mak
ing in all One Thousand, Two Hundred and Sixty
four acres.
One tract of Six Hundred and Fifty-six acres,
including tho iormer residence of tho late Mrs!
El zabeth Heard, with a reservation of the family
burying ground.
One tract of Five Hundred acres, being the up
per part of what is known as the Banks’ Ferry
place, with a reservation of one acre at the ferry
landing. J
One tract of Four Hundred and Fourteen acre*
being the lower part of the Banks’ place, including
the Saw Mill, and lying immediately above the
Cherokee ford.
One tract of Three Hundred and Twelve aores
lying immediately below the Cherokee ford, and
including most of the Banks’ low grounds.
One tract of Four Hundred and Twenty acros,
embracing most of what is known as the Cham
bers place; and
One tract of Five Hundred and Six acres, known
R 3 the Alston place.
Each one ol the above tracts of Land are bound
ed on the east by the Savannah river. Thero is on
most of them a large proportion of finely timber
ed woodland, and several of them include large
bodies of first rate River and Creek low grounds.
A more particular description is deemed unneces
sary, as persons wishing to purchase will examine
for themselves. Plots of each separate tract, as
well as a draught of the whole connected, may be ‘
seen in the hands of either of the Executors, and
one of them, residing on the premises, will, on ap
plication, point out any of the boundaries.
At the same time and place will also bo sold, the
Georgia side of the two Ferries on Savannah river,
belonging to said estate—one known as Tucker’s,
the other as Harper’s About One acre of Land
will bo sold with each Ferry right, as a landing.
Also, the Island in Savannah River, opposite the
Alstoa place, known as Hunt’s Island, containing
about Ninet -five acres.
Also, the Island in Savannah River, known as
TV atkins’ or Harris’ Island, containing about Throe
Hundred acros.
.Also, A tract of Land on Beavcrdam Creek, con
tainiDg Ninety-eight acres, on which is situated one
of the most valuable Grist Mills in the State,
known formerly as Carter’s Mill.
Also, Twenty-six acres of land on Beaverdam
Creek, including the site of the Elbert Factory,
with all tho buildings and othor iinpiovcments.
This place presents great inducements for the erec
tion of any kind of machinery.
Also, a tract of land containing Ono Hundred
and Eighty-three acres, now in the occupancy of
Thomas Johnson, adjoining lands of Houston’s’ es
tate and others.
Also, several Thousand pounds of Iron Machine
ry. collected from the ruins of tho late Elbert Cot
ton Factory.
