One other PLANTATION, adjoining the afore
said ‘Coulter Place,” called the ‘ Midway Place,”
''.staining Two Thousand, One Hundred and Six
* ae acres, more or less, bounded by lands of
'war Champey, Joshua Bossard, the “ Stroman
]v a ct : ’ and th e North Edisto River. This tract
•i? about six hundred and fifty acres of cleared
iar'd under fence, with a good two-story dwelling
a new gin house and cotton screw, negro
houses, ie,: all in excellent repair. The balance
the land is well timbered pine and swamp land.
—also —
One other PLANTATION, called the “Cot
, ac ,i known as the residence of the late Maj.
,luhn M. Feller, containing One Thousand, Six
Hundred and Seventy-seven acres, more or less,
and boundci by tbs aforesaid “Midway Place,”
bv lands of €. Aramt, and others, and the North
Edisto River. This is a well settled plantation,
with every necessary out-building, and a desirable
,<ne for a private residence, there being about
hundred acres of cleared land, and in a high
state of cultivation. These three plantations are
well adapted for all agricultural purposes, and
command a large body of pine timber for sawing
andrafting, particularly the “ Coulter Place.”
ALSO — ••
One other TRACT, called the “ Stroman Tract,”
adjoining the ‘ Midway” and “Cottage” tracts,
containing Pour Hundred and Twonty seven acres,
more or less, and bounded by lands of Oscar Cham
ps and others. This tract is altogether uncleared,
and well timbered with pine for sawing, and other
purposes.
It is here noticed, tha ten acres (including the
present family cemetery on the “ Midway Place,”
with a right of way thereto,) will be reserved for
that purpose in perpetuity to the family of the in
testate.
—also —
One othor PLANTATION, called ‘Dean Swamp,’
containing Nine Thousand, Six Hundred and One
acres, more or less, bounded by lands of Dr. J. G.
tluigcard, J. C. Fanning, D. V. Phillips, R. P.
Vaikor, and others, and the South Edisto River,
with seven hundred and fiUy acres cleared and un
der fence. This plantation is perhaps as valuable
as any in the State. There are about throe hun
dred and fifty acres of creek swamp cleared, which
produced at the last crop an average of 40 bushels
of corn per acre; with about two thousand acres
of river swamp uncleared, superior to the creek
lind, and easily reclaimed; the balance is finely
timbered with pine for sawing purposes. The
health of the place is unexceptionable. The pre
sent overseer says that since his residence thereon
(whi h is sixteen years) a case of fever has never
been known to exist. It is in perfect condition as
regards the buildings. Ac., with two vertical saws,
and a never failing stream of water, and its distance
from the Hamburg Railroad about ten miles.
—also —
A small tract of uncleared LAND, called the
“Davis Tract,” containing Two Hundred and
Kinety-threo and One half acres, more or less, sit
uated in the fork of the Edisto River, and bounded
by lands of B. Corbett, P. A. Fanning, and others.
—also—
Another uncleared TRACT, situate on Snake
Swamp, in the fork of Edisto, containing Nine
Hundred and Seventy-seven acres, more or less,
bounded by lands of J . J. Salley. Paul S. Felder, E.
Hall, and others. This tract is of the very best
pine timber. All of the aforesaid lands are situa
ted in Orangeburg District.
—also —
The following Tracts of LAND, situate on Black
Creek, in Lexington District, S. C., containing
Seventeen Thousand acres, more or less. Tho
above tract consists of the following four divisions,
viz: the “Hall Place,” containing three thousand
acres, more or less, bounded by lands of Abram
King, W. Weaver, Joshua Taylor, and others.
This is an excellent mill-seat, with the aforesaid
Black Creek passing through the tract, which af
fords an abundant supply of water power, and a
mill-dam about two thirds completed. There are
about one hundred and fifty acres of cleared land
under fence, producing fine corn , tho balance is
well timbered with choice pine This is also a set
tled place, with dwelling, negro, and other necessa
ry buildings.
—ALSO —
One other TRACT, called the “ Dunbar Place/’
alike situated on Black Creek, containing Five
thousand acres, more or less, and bounded by
lands of Win. Merritt, S. Altman, J. Dunbar, and
others. This is also a settled place as the above,
*ith the addition of a saw mill, but the mill has
keen recently burned. Tbero arc one hundred
and sixty acres of cleared land and under fence;
sixty of which is good swamp land; the balance is
well timbered pino land.

purchasers of the lower mill-seats shall be required
to keep waste ways or sluices in good condition to
pass rafts, and turnish from their ponds a good sup
ply of water for that purpose. Each raft shall pay

The triumphant success of the great
Arabian remedy for man and beast, H.
Q. Farrell’s celebrated Arabian Liniment, is
causing counterfeits to spring up all over the coun
try, spreading their baneful influence o.er the
laed, robbing the pockets of tho honest and un
suspecting, by imposing upon them worthless and
poisonous trash, for the genuine H. G Farrell’s
Arabian Liniment. Fellow Citizens! Look weU
before you buy, and see that the label of the bot
tle has the letters H. G. before Farrell’s, for if it
has not, it is counterfeit. The label around each
bottle of the genuine Liniment reads thus: “H.
G. Farrell's Celebrated Arabian Liniment;’’ and
the signature of proprietor is written upon the
label also, and these words are blown in the glass
bottle, “H. G. Farrell's Arabian Liniment, Peoria.”
The daring boldness of the recreant who would
deceive the people by imposing upon them worth
less trash, for a really genuine and good medicine,
thus not only cheating them out of their money,
but that which is far dearer—their health—ought
to be held up in scorn, and receive the contempt
his dartardly spirit merits. Let every one then
who regards his own health, and wishes truth and
honesty to triumph over deception and rascality ,
put his heel on all base impositions, and uphold
that which is just and right. The genuine H. G.
Farrell’s Arabian Liniment has proved itself to be
the most remarkable medicine known for tho cure
of rheumatism, neuralgia, pains, wherever located,
sprains, bruises, hardened lumps burns, wounds,
corns, chronic sore and weak eyes, lame back, etc.;
and isj an effectual remedy for horses and cattle in
the cure of sweeny, distemper, lameness, dry shoul
der, splint, wound 3, etc., and will always stop the
further progress of poll-evil, fistula, ringbone and
blood spavin, if used in the beginning.
Look out for Counterfeits. —The public are cau
tioned against another counterfeit, which has late
ly made its appearance, called W. B. Farrell’s Ara
bian Liniment, the most dangerous of all the coun
terfeits, because his having the name of FarreP,
many will buy it in good faith, without the knov -
ledge that a counterfeit exists, and they will, per
haps, only discover their error when the spurious
mixture has wrought its evil effects.
Tho genuine article is manufactured only by H
G. Farrell, sole inventor and proprietor, and whole
sale druggist, No. 17 Main street, Peoria, Illinois*
to whom all applications for Agencies must bo ad
drossed. Be sure you get it with tho letters H. G.
before Farrell’s, thus—H. G. FARRELL’S—and
his signature on the wrapper, and all others are
counterfeits. Sold by
