Rheumatism of twenty years' stand- i j
ing—Sever in my life have I had so much pleasure (
in doing any thing as in giving this certificate to
the world, anu i hope it may be the cause of thou- j
sands of my fellow creatures being relieved from J
that dreadful disease, Rheumatism. My wife has
been afflicted with it for twenty years, moat of the j
time suffering excruciating pains in every pact ;
of her body. Having no appetite whatever, she j
was reduced to almost a skeleton. So violent were j ;
the pains that she seldom could sleep without tak- i j
ing large doses of opium. Every joint was swelled (
very much, and her Usees, hands and neck covered {
Kith large lumps. She could do no kind of work,
the sinews and muscles being so bard and contract
ed that her limbs were drawn together, so that she j
»as obiged to be in bed constantly. In this condi- 1
tnu she had been for twenty years, without ever 1
Setting any relief from every thing sho used, until j
*Qe commenced the use of 11. G. larrell s Arabian \ ■
liniment, the first bottle of which produced a great i
change. She has now used five bottles, and the ; <
swellings have yearly all gone down; pain has en- j
tirely left her; sh£ sleeps well and soundly; is •
more fleshy than eves she was in her life; has an |
excellent appetite, and sp ins and sews all day. By j
the use ot a few bottles more she mus be as well as ,
she was. If any one doubts this woncerlul
cure, he has only to call at my residence, near Pe
oria, and learn the circumstances fronJ my wife s
ow n lipg, or he can further enquire of any pf m y
ne ighbors. Samuel Elsgv,
U- G. Farrell's Liniment is also an excellent rem
?ov for palsy, sprains, bruises, cramps, chilblains,
” ur M» pains, toothache, sore eyes, etc-, and in
torses or cattle is the best remedy in the world
"here an external application is required.
Look out for Counterfeits. —The public are cau
i onedagainst another counterfeit, which has latc
v aiade its appearance, called W. B. Farrell’s Ara-
Liniment, the most dangerous of all the coun- |
terfeits, because his having the name of FarreP,
jaany will buy it in good faith, without the know -
jodge that a counterfeit exists, and they will, per
haps, only discover their error when the spurious
Buxture has wrought its evil effects.

WOLFE S SCHIEDAM SCHNAPPS.
TO the editor of the Conssitutionalist Repub
lic, Augusta, Ga., —Sir : It is due to the citi
zens of Augusta, and other portions of your State,
who favor me with their orders for the SCHIEDAM
AROMATIC SCHNAPPS, that tho conclusive ev
idence of its purity and medicinal properties, re
cently published in this city, should be laid before
them. Accordingly I have forwarded for gratui
tous distribution, some thousands of copies of a
treatise, setting forth its peculiarities, in which the
first medical practioncrs in America, testify over
there own signatures to its purity, and its efficacy
as a specific in a great variety of painful disorders.
As specimens of tho opinions of physicians, who
have analyzed the article, and who prescribe it in
all cases where a diuretic stimulant is required, I
have given below a few short quotations, from the
medical correspondence contained in the pamphlet.
At a time, when the use of adulterated liquors—
the source of a perpetual thirst, which grows by
what it feeds on—is killing off its tens ol thousands
annually, the value of a perfectly inocuousspiritous
stimulant, both as a curative and a beverage is
inappreciable. Much cheaper than brandy, the
Schiedam Schnapps is proved by analysis, to be a
purer article than the most costly brands of that
liquor ; while the superior oil of Juniper, which
forms one of its components, gives it a medicinal
character unknown in any other class of Alcohalic
preparations. It is the only liquor with which I
am acquainted, that can be used with the full as
surance that it will not create an inordinate ap
petite for strong drinks ; and as a means of quali
fying impure water, as well as protecting the sys
tem against the unwholesome almopheric influences
in low marshy lands and in new settlements, 1
know of nothing equal to it. It is also, a most
agreeable cordial, and those who use liquor as a
beverage, will find that it refreshes and tones tho
system, instead of creating the headache and nau
sea, which too frequently arise from the use of or
dinary spiritious stimulants. Like everything in
trinsically good, it has been counterfeited ; but
the exposure which I propose to viset upon all
who vend a spurious article, under the name of
Wolfe’s Schiedam Aromatic Schnapps, will 1 have
little doubt give tho coup dc grace to tho imposture.
I am respectfully, yours,
UDOLPHO WOLFE,
