Wonderful and Extraordinary Cure
of Rheumatism of twenty years' stand
ing—Nevor in my life have I had so much pleasure
in doing any thing as in giving this certificate to
the world, and I hope it may be the cause of thou
sands of my fellow creatures being relieved from
that dreadful disease, Rheumatism. My wife has
been afflicted with it for twenty years, most of the
time suffering excruciating pains in every part
of her body. Having no appetite whatever, she
was reduced to almost a skeleton. So violent were
the pains that she seldom could sloop without tak
ing large doses of opium. Every joint was swelled
very much, and her knees, hands and neck covered
witn large lump 3. She could do no kind of work,
the sinews and muscles being so hard and contract
ed that her limbs were drawn together, so that sho
was obiged to be in bed constantly. In this condi
tion she had been for twenty years, without ever
getting any relief from every thing she used, until |
she commenced tho use of H. G. Farrell’s Arabian
Liniment, the first bottle of which produced a great
change. She has now used five bottles, and the
swellings have nearly all gone down; pain has en
tirely left her; sho sleeps well and soundly; is
more flo&hy than ever sho was in her life; has an
excellent appetite, and spins and sows all day. By
the use of a few bottles more sho mus be as well as
over she was. If any one doubts this wonderful
cure, ho has only to call at my residenco, near Pe
oria, and learn the circumstances from my wife's
own lips, or he can further enquire es any of my
neighbors. Samuel Elson.
H. G. Farrell's Liniment is also an excellent rem
edy for palsy, sprains, bruises, cramps, chilblains,
burns, pains, toothache, sore uyes, etc., and in
horses or cattle is tho best remedy in tho world
where an external application u required.
Look out for Counterfeits. —Tho public are cau
tioned against another counterfeit, which has late
ly made its appearance, called W. B. Farrell’s Ara
bian Liniment, the most dangerous of all tho coun
terfeits, because his having the name of Farrell,
many will buy it in good faith, without the knov -
ledge that a counterfeit exists, and they will, per
haps, onlysdiscovor their error when the spurious
mixture has wrought its evil effects.
The genuine article is manufactured only by H
G. Farrell, sole iuvontor and proprietor, and whole
sale druggist, No. 17 Main street, Peoria, Illinois'
to whom all applications for Agencies must he ad
dressed. Bo sure you get it with tho letters H. G.
before Farrell’s, thus —11. G. FARRELL’S—and!
hissiguature on the wrapper, and all others are
counterfeits. Sold by
HAVILAND, RISLEY A (JO.,

WOLFE’S SCHIEDAM SCHNAPPS.
TO tho editor of the Con ssil litionalist \ Repub
lic, Augusta, Ga., —Sir : It is duo to tho citi
zens of Augusta, and othor portions of your State,
who favor me with their orders for Hie SCHIEDAM
AROMATIC SCHNAPPS, that tho conclusive ev
idence of its purity and medicinal properties, re
cently published in this city, should he laid before
them. Accordingly I have forwarded for gratui
tous distribution, some thousands of copies of a
treatise, setting forth its peculiarities, in which the
first medical practioners in America, testify over
there own signatures to its purity, and its efficacy
as a specific in a great variety of painful disorders.
As specimens ol the opinions of physicians, who
have analyzed the article, and who prescribe it in
all cases where a diuretic stimulant is required, 1
have given below a few short quotations, from the
medical correspondence contained in the pamphlet.
At a time, when the use of adulterated liquors—
the source oi a perpetual thirst, which grows by
what it feed? ou—is killing off its tens of thousands
annually, tho value of a perfectly inocuous spiritous
stimulant, both as a curative and a beverage is
inappreciable. Much cheaper than brandy, the
Schiedam Schnapps is proved by analysis, to be a
purer article than the most costly brands of that
liquor ; while the superior oil of Juniper, which
forms one ot its components, gives it a medicinal
character unknown in any other class of Alcohalic
preparations. It is tho only liquor with which 1
am acquainted, that can bo used with the full as
surance that it will not create an inordinate ap
petite for strong drinks ; and as a means ot quali
fying impure water, as well as protecting the sys
tem against the unwholesome almopherie influences
in low marshy lands and in new settlements, I
know of nothing equal to it. It is also, a, most
agreeable cordial, and those who use liquor as a
beverage, will find that it refreshes and tones the
system, instead of creating the headache and nau
sea, which too frequently arise from the use of or
dinary spiritious stimulants. Like everything in
trinsically good, it has been counterfeited ; but
the exposure which I proposo to viset upon all
who vend a spurious article, under the name of
Wolfe’s Schiedam Aromatic Schnapps, will 1 have
little doubt give the coup tie grace to the imposture.
I am respectfully, -yours,
UDOLPHO WOLFE,
