GEORGIA HYDRAULIC CEMENT.
The following are among the many testimoni
als received in favor of the above Cement. A
fresh lot just received and for gale by
GEO. W. LEWiS, No. 1 Warren Block.
Supebintkndant’s Office C. R. R.,
Savannah, Mav 3, 1803.
Bear Sir: I have recently made a trial of your
Cement, and am happy to say that it proved very
satisfactory W. M. WADLEY.
Charleston, April 19, 1854.
- Wo, the undersigned, bricklayers and plasterers
of this city, having used the Georgia Hydraulic
Cement, prepared at Kingston, Georgia, are satis
fied that the same is a good article, and recom
mend it as such. SEPTIMUS SANDERS,
J. B. LUCAS,
W. H. GRUVED.
New Custom House,
Charleston, S C., April 12, 1864.
Dear Sir: At your request I have to state that a
bag of Hydraulic Cement, sent to mo by Messrs.
Mat leson A Simons, made by Rev. W. Howard,
rom bis Quirry in Georgia, has been by me sub
ected t> my ordinary test. I have found it to set
sa.pi aly uudtr water, and make an excellent Hy
draulic mortar The bag of Cement sent me by
Mr. Sinit.ua fias been made into and laid up
into brie* mu-onry a few days ago. It is now
quite hs*»v», and shows ail the indications of a good
Cement. Very respectfully, your obedient servant,
EDW B WHITE,
Supcrintecdant and Architect.
Messrs. Maclean <fc Co. —Gentlemen: I have
examined a d tested the Hydraulic Cement you
have in .store, from Mr. Howard, Cass county, Ga.,
and find it compa es favorably with the best New
York Cement. The lightness of color is, 1 think,
rather an advantage than otherwise I cheerfully
recommend this Cement to Engineers, builders and
others, as admirably adapted to buiiding purposes
in damp and wet locations, and all localities in
which Uyraulic Cemcit is to bo used.
Very respectfully, JOHN PHILIPS,
jol Civil and Mechanical Engineer.

| C'OR all sudden and dangerous attacks of Dis
| 1? ease, such as Fits or Convulsions: Apoplexy
Lock-Jaw; Cramp Colic; Cholera; Pneumonia;
Hydrophobia; Bite of Snakes, and other danger
ous cases of Poisons, and all other diseases in
which immediate action is necessary.
This Tiix-ture produces its effect by equalizing
the circulation of the Blood, and by relieving in
flammation. Its effect in relieving inflammation,
either internal or external, makes it useful in a
great variety of diseases.
For Eevt-r and Ague, or Chills, it is almost an
infallible remedy.
Diluted with syrup or honey, it is useful for
Colas and all affections of tho Lungs, arising from
| colds, such as Dough, Croup, Asthma, Difficulty in
Breathing, Ac.
As an external remedy, in fresh Cuts, Wounds,
Biuises, Burns. Scalds, Bite of Snakes, Sting of
Bees, or Bite of poisonous Insects, it prevents in
flammation, and greatly relieves the soreness.
i sad as a wash in eruptivo disoases, such as
Scald Head, Ringworm, or diseases which causa an
itching sensation upon the skin, it soon produces a
healthy action. "When thus used, the Georgia Sar
saparilla should be taken to purify the blood.
For Horses, and other animals, this article will
bo found invaluable for Bruises, Cuts, Galls, Fistu
la, Ac. For Colic, and various other dangerous
attacks, it rarely fails to cure oven the worst cases.
This is tho most active medicino in use, yet it
may be <riven without danger of injury. It seldom
fails, in dangerous cases, to cause an immediate re
action in tho system. After i; has caused a reac- j
tion, it may bo followed by such other medicines
as the situation of the patient may indicate.

This preparation is ge ting into use all over our coun- j

of the best, if not the very best, Cough Medicine now
before the public. It almost invariably relieves, and !
not unfreauentiy cures the very worse cases When all S
other Cough preparations have filled, this has relieved l
the patient, as Druggists, dealers in Medicines, and 1

state my belief in its superiority over all other articles 1
with which lam acquainted, for which it is recom- !

daily more popular in this Country, and v e think just
ly so. All who have trie l it speak in ommendable
terms of it. and say it is very beneficial . alleviating ]

an instance of a Nogro woman, iu his vicinity, who had
been suffering with di ea.se ol the Lungs for years, at- 1
tended with severe Cough, who was relieved by the
Liverwort and Tar.
Such are the good reports we hear of this Medicine
from ill parts of theoutli. Fora report of the sur
prising cures it has performed in the Western and
Northern and Eastern states, we would invite the suf
ering patient to read the pamphlet which acooinpames
each bottle. To all, we say have hope, have hope !
