ROGER S LIVERWORT AND TAR.
FOR the complete cure of Coughs. Colds, Influenza,
Asthma, Bronchitis, Spitting of Blood, and all oth
; er Lung Complaints tending to Consumption.
This preparation is getting into use all over our coun
j try. The numerous letters we receive from our vari
; ous agents, informing us of cures effected in their ini
i mediate neighborhoods, warrant us in saying it is one
i of the best, if not the very best. Cough Medicine now
before the public. It almost invariably relieves, and
not unfrequently cures the very worse cases When all
other Cough preparations have failed, this has relieved
the patient, as Druggists, dealers in Medicines, and
J’hysicians can testify. Ask the Agent iu your nearest
town, what has been his experience of the effects of
this medicine. If he has been selling it for any length
of time he will tell you
IT IS THE BEST MEDICINE EXTANT.
Below we give a few extracts from letters we have
received lately, regarding the virtues of this medicine.
Dr. S- S. Oslin, of Knox'-ille, Ga„ says: “ I have been
using your Liverwort and Tar very extensively in my
practice for three years past, and it is with pleasure I
state my belief in its superiority over all other articles
with which I am acquainted, for which it is recom
mended.”
Messrs Fitzgerald & Benners, writing from Waynes
vrlle. N. C . says : “ The Liverwort and Tar is becoming
daily more popular in this Country, and we think just
ly so. All who have tried it speak in commendable
terms of it, and say it is very beneficial in alleviating
the complaints for which it is recommended.”
Our Agent in Pickens District, S. C., Mr. S. R. McFalt,
assurers l “ that he uses it with great benefit in his own
family, and recommends it to his neighbors.” He gives
an instance of a Nogro woman, in his vicinity, who had
been suffering with disease of the Lungs for years, at
tended with severe Cough, who was relieved by the
Liverwort and Tar.
Such are the good reports we hear of this Medicine
from all parts of the South. For a report of the sur
prising cures it has performed in the Western and
Northern and Eastern States, we would invite the suf
ering patient to read the pamphlet which acoompanies
each bottle. To all, we say, have hope, have hope!

SSOO CHALLENGE.
HOBENSACK’S WORM SYRUI* An article
founded upon Scientific Principles, compound
ed with purely Vegetable substances, being per
fectly safe when taken, and has never been known
to fail in curing the most obstinate ca.-e. Worms
can never exist when this remedy is once used,
from the fact that it not only destroys them but
removes all the slime and mucus which may re
main.
THE TAPE WORM.
This worm is the most difficult' one to destroy of
all that inhabit the human body. It grows to an
almost indefinite length, and becoming so c&iled
and fastened in the intestines and stomach as to
produce fits, St. Vitus’ Dance, Ac., which is the
cause of many going to the grave, tot believing
that these complaints have their origin from the
Tape Worm; consequently they do not use the
proper medicines for their disease. To those who
are afflicted with this awful foe to health, I recoin
mend the use of my Worm Syrup, and Liver,Pills,
the Syrup to be taken in doses of two table jspoon
fuls three times a day, then take from five to eight
of my Liver Pills, to dislodge and pass the worm.
By strictly following these directions, tho most ob
stina e cases of Tape Worm can be speedily cured.
ROUND OR STOMACH WORM.
This worm is usually found in the small intes
tines, and is the worm most common to children,
yet it is not entirely confined to them, as adults
have frequently been known to suffer with them.
The Symptoms most prominent while affected with
this worm, are hardness and fullness of the belly,
slimy stools, looseness of the bowels, picking at the
nose, a blueish streak under the eyes, Ac. If you
or any of your children have any of the above
symptoms, HOBENSACK’S WORM SYRUP can
safely be depended upon—by using it you have a
certain, safe, and speedy cure; and if after using
t according to the directions, the patient is not
restored to health, and the worms thoroughly era
dicated from the system, you can rest assured there
is no remedy beyond the grave, as for fail, there is
no such word as fail with those who use my Worm
Syrup.
ASCARIDES OR SMALL THREAD WORMS
These worms, to which the human system is lia
ble, are the most troublesme of all others. They
are generally , to be foundin the rectum, and if al
lowed to remain, from the irritation they produce,
lay tho foundation for serious disorders, such as
inflammation of the bowels, and othor derange
ments of the stomach. Zhe host and safest medi
cine that can be usedis HOcENSACK’S WORM
SYRUP. Such is the astonishing power of my
medicines over Ascaradies, that I defy any one to
prodace a case where my Wqrm Syrup and Liver
Pills are recommended to be used they will nofeure,
All that is necessary is to use the Syrup in accord
ance with directions on each bottle; and in caso a
gentle purgative is required in order to allay tne
irritation they produce, the Liver Pills by their
sympathizing action and healthy operation upon
the bowels, is the most pleasant medicine that can
be taken.

ZERMAN'S CELEBRATED TOOTH WASH.
fBtHIS delicious article combines so many meri-
JL torious qualities, that it has now become a
standard favorite with the citizens of New York,
Philadelphia and Baltimore. Dentists prescribe it
in their practice most successfully, and from every
source the most flattering laudations are awarded
it.
Inflamed and bleeding gums are immediately
benefitted by its use ; its action upon them is mild,
soothing and effective. It cleanses the teeth so
thoroughly that they are rival pearl in
whiteness, and diffuses through the mouth such a
delightful freshness, that the breath is rendered ex
quisitely sweet. It disinfects all those impurities
which tend to produce decay, and, as a consequence,
when these are removed, the teeth must always re
main sound.

SINGER’S SEWING MACHINES.
WHICH are the only Sewing Machines
utility which can be used without making 1
the owner liable to a suit for infringement of pa
tented privileges aro still sold at reasonable prices
and with unquestioned right. %
Having terminated our legal controversy with
Elias Howe, Jr., and procured his full license to use
his invention, there is not the slightest claim that
our machines infringe any other patent.
The right to use the Machines which we have
sold, and shall hereafter sell, is unquestionable.
We own ton distinct patents on Sewing Machines,
covering all the nice points of the invention, and
all the Machines of other manufacturers infringe
one or more of them. Our patent securing the
spring whereby the cloth, Ac., is held to the feed
ing apparatus by a yielding pressure, is infringed
by all the Machines now offered in the market.
Those who buy the inferior and piratical machines,
are hereby distinctly apprised that we shall com
pel them to pay us for the privilege of using them.
Our legal rights will, henceforth be rigidly enforced.
The immense superiority of Singer s Sewing
Machines Las been completely established. They .
are of universal application—the same Machine y. -
doing all kinds of work, and doing it perfectly.
They aro not only superior in contrivance, but un
equalled in mechanical finish. They, perform all
work required, and continue to do it without get
ting out of order. We des're to call attention par- r l
ticularly to our new Machines to sew with a single
thread, which, by ample trials, have been proved J#
superior to all others tbs stiching linen and all very
thin fabrics—also for sewing leather, either with a
waxed thread or silk—and-ror quilting linings. We
are also prepared to exhibit and sell Embroidering
Machines, producing an entirely new and
beautiful result. Machines of extra size, both
shuttle and single thread, may be had for a small y
difference in price. These are found to be very #
popular. Machines for hat binding, stitching car- ||
pet-bag handles, and any othor peculiar work, will m
bo suppled at short notice.
Machine Needles, Silk Twist on spools, Three
Cord Linen Thread, and all other articles used
with Sewing Machines always on hand and for sale
