ROGER'S LIVERWORT AND TAR.
FOR the complete cure of Coughs, Colds, Influenza,
Asthma, Bronchitis,Spitting of Blood, and all oth
er Lung Complaints tending to Consumption.
This preparation is getting into use all overourcoun
try. The numerous letters we receive from our vari
ous agents, informing us of cures effected in their im
mediate neighborhoods, warrant us in saying it is one
of the best, if not the very best, Cougli Medicine now
before the public. It almost invariably relieves, and
not unfrequently cures the very worse cases When all
other Cough preparations have failed, this has relieved
the patient, as Druggists, dealers in Medicines, and
Physicians can testify. Ask the Agent in your nearest
town, what has been his experience of the effects of
this medicine. If he has been selling it for any length
of time be will tell you
IT IS THE BEST MEDICINE EXTANT.
Below we give a few extracts from letters we have
received lately, regarding the this medicine.
Dr. S. S. Oslin. of Knoxville, Ga.. says: “ I have been
using your Liverwort and Tar very extensively in my
practice for three years past, and it is with pleasure!
state my belief in its superiority over all other articles
with which I am acquainted, for which it is recom
mended.”
Messrs Fitzgerald & Benners, writing from Waynes
ville, N. C.. says ■ “ The Liverwort and Tar is becoming
daily more popular in this Country, and we think just
ly so. All who have tried it speak in commendable
terms of it, and say it is very beneficial in alleviating
the complaints for which it is recommended.”
Our Agent in Pickens District, S. C., Mr. S. R. McFall,
assures us “ that he uses it with great benefit in his own
family, and recommends it to his neighbors.” He gives
an instance of a Nogro woman, in his vicinity, who had
been suffering with disease of the Lungs for years, at
tended with severe Cough, who was relieved by the
Liverwort and Tar.
Such are the good reports we hear of this Medicine
from all parts of the iouth. For a report of the sur
prising cures it has performed in the Western and
Northern and Eastern States, w» would invite the suf
ering patient to read the pamphlet which acoompanies
each bottle. To all, we say, have hope, have hope !
TRY THE MEDICINE!! —Be Warned in Season !n
And neglect not that Cough which is daily weakeni/g
your constitution, irritating your Throatand Lungs,
and inviting on that dread disease, Consumption, when
so soothing and healing a Remedy can be obtained as
Dr. Rogers’ Syrup oi Liverwort and Tar.
Beware of Counterfeits and Base Imitations !—The
genuine article is signed Andrew Rogers, on the en
graved wrapper around each bottle.

DENNIS’ ANTI-SPASMODIC TINCTURE.
FOR all sudden and dangerous attacks of Dis
ease, such as Fits or Convulsions; Apoplexy.
Lock-Jaw: Cramp Colic; Cholera; Pneumonia;
Hydrophobia; Bite of Snakes, and other danger
ous cases of Poisons, and all other diseases in
which immediate action is necessary.
This Tincture produces its effect by equalizing
the circulation of the Blood, and by relieving in
flammation. Its effect in relieving inflammation,
either internal or external, makes it useful in a
great variety of diseases.
For Fever and Ague, or Chills, it is almost an
infallible remedy.
Diluted with syrup or honey, it is useful for
Colds and all affections of the Lungs, arising from
colds, such as Cough, Croup, Asthma, Difficulty in
Broathing, Ac.
As an external remedy, in fresh Cuts, Wounds,
Bruises, Burns, Scalds, Cite of Snakes, Sting of
Bees, or Bite of poisonous Insects, it prevents in
flammation, and greatly relieves the 3oroness.
( sed as a wash in eruptive diseases, such as
Scald Head, Ringworm, or diseases which causa an
itching sensation upon the skin, it soon produces a
healthy action. When thus used, tho Georgia Sar
saparilla should be taken to purify the blood.
For Horses, and other animals, this article will
be found invaluable for Bruises, Cuts, Galls, Fistu
la, Ac. For Colic, and various other dangerous
attacks, it raroly fails to cure even the worst cases.
This is tho moat active medicine in use, yet it
may be given without danger of injury. It seldom
fails, in dangerous cases, to cause an immediate re
action in the system. After i; has caused a reac
tion, it may be followed by such other medicines
as the situation of the patient mav indicate.

Inflamed and bleeding gums are immediately
benefitted by its use; its action upon them is mild,
soothing and effective. It cleanses the teeth so
thoroughly that they are made to rival pearl in

delightful freshness, that the breath is rendered ex- j

which tend to produce decay, and, as a c.onsequenco, |

HOBENSACK’S LIVER PILLS.
NO past of the system is more liable to disease
than the Liver, it being supplied with numer
ous blood vessels and nerves, and if diseased, the
blood of course flowing through all parts of the
ody produces Liver Complaints, Jaundice, Bilious
Affections, Dyspepsia, Ac.
LIVER COMPLAINT
Is attended with chills, succeeded by fever, severe
pains in the region of the Liver, vomiting, bitter
taste, yellow furred tongue, pulse full and bound
ing, the pain in the side increased by pressure,
should the left lobe be affected, the pain is general
ly in the left shoulder, with a short dry cough, the
skin becoming of a sallow appearance, and the
stools clay colored. This disease can be cured by
the use of Hobensack’s Liver Pills, as they act di
rectly upon the seat of the disease, and then ope
rating upon the bowels they expel all the corrupt
and vitiated matter from the system.
DYSPEPSIA.
The symptoms of Dyspepsia, and its various dis
eases are dizziness in the head, heartburn, oppres
sion after eating meals, sourness arising from the
stomach, Ac., and sometimes general languor of
the whole body, from this it will be seen that the
disease owes its origin to a disorganized stato of
the Liver and Stomach. Hobensack’s Liver Pills
is the very medicine to effect a permanent and last
ing euro, as they act by changing the certain mor
bid actions of the system into a healthy action,
and rendering the blood pure and healthy.
TO FEMALES.
You will find these Pills an invaluable medicine
in many complaints to which you are subject. In
obstructions, either total or partial, they have been
found of inestimable benefit in restoring and puri
fying the blood and other fluids so as to cure all
complaints which may arise from female irregular
ties, as headache,-dimness of sight, pain in the
side, back, Ac. These Pill? are the only safe and
effectual remedy to cure the following complain ts
Gout, Nervousness, Melancholy, Sick Headache
Giddiness, Rheumatism, distressing Dreams, Dim
ness of Sight, or in fact any of the diseases that
arise from affections of the Liver, impurity of the
Blood; or constipation of the Bowels.
MEDICAL EVIDENCE.
We, tho undersigned Physicians, having had the
receipt of their manufacture submitted to us for
inspection, say, that the ingredients of which they
are composed makes them the best Pill in use for
all diseases of the Liver, Impurities of the Blood. Ac.
