The great Spri g Medicine and Purifier of the Blood

For all diseases of the Blood, nothing has yet been
found to compare with it. It cleanses the system of
all impurities, act? gently and efficiently on the Liver

the Stomach, makes the Skin clear and healthy, and
restores the Constitution, enfeebled by disease or bro

For the Ladies, it is incomparably better than all the

bring the roses mantling to the cheek, give elasticity to
the step, and improve the general health in a remarka

The many cures made by this pleasant and safe

A medicine must have merit, and great merit toe, to

AFFLICTE TJERAdT
PHILADELPHIA MEDICaL HOUSE—Established 20
years ago by Dr. Kinkelin, corner of Third and
Union ctreets, between Spruce and Pine, Philadelphia.
Invalids are apprised that Dr. Kinkelin confines his
practice to a particular branch of medicine, which en
gages his undivided attention. He cautions the unfor
tunate against the abuse of mercury ; thousands are
annually raercui ialized out of life. Recent affections
are promptly extinguished.
Twenty years of experience in the treatment of a
class >f diseases hitherto neglected and imperfectly un
derstood, has enabl d Dr. K’ukelin. (author of a work
on Self Preservation,) to prove that nine tenths of the
causes of nervous debility, local and constitutional
i weakness, mental and physical suffering, are ti iceable
[ to certain habits, forming 'he most secret yet deadly
and fatal springs of domestic misery and premature
mortality. .
s Take Particular Notice. —There is an evil habit some
; times indulged in by boys, in solitude, often growing
, up with them to manhood, and which, if not reformed
in due time, not only begets serious obstacles to mat-i
--rnonial happiness, bat give rise to a series of protract
ted, iusidious and devastating affections. Few of those
i who give way to this pernicious practice are aware of
the consequences* until they find the nervous system
shattered, leel strange and unaccountable feelings, and
, vague fears in the mind.
The unfortunate thus affected Mcomes feeble, is una
ole to labor with accustomed vigor, or to apply his
mind to study ; his step is tardy and weak, he is dull,
[ irresolute, and engages in his sport with loss energy
than usual.
If lie emancipate himself before the practice has
done its worst, and enter matrimony, his marriage is
unfruitful, and his sense tells him that this is cau ed by
hi.s early follies. These are considerations which should
awaken the attention of those similarly situated,
Marriage requires the fulfilment of several condi
tions, in order taat it may be really the cause of mutu
al happiness. Could the veil w hich covers the origin
i of domestic wretchedness be rail- d, and ts true source
in every instance disclosed—in how many could it be
traced to physical disqualifications ai u tneir attendant
disappointments! Appiy then while it is yet time, in
order to ha\e your unstrung and relaxed organization
rebraced, revivified and strengthened. "*■
Remember, he who places nimselt under Dr. Kinke
lin'a treatment may religiously confide in his honor as
a gentleman and rely upon the assurance, that the se
crets of Dr. K?s patients will never be disclosed.
Youm: man —let no false modesty oeter you from
mzking your case known to one who, from education

READ THE FOLLOWING CERTIFCATE.
Tallapoosa County, Ala., Jan. 2,1852.
Dear Sir: —l send you this to certify to you that
your Extract of Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla has per
formed one i f the most wonderful cures on me that
has everbeon effected on man.
I have been afflicted for forty years with eruptions
on my legs and feet; in 1848 they got so bad that 1 had
to go on crutches, and in 1849 1 bad one leg amputated
above the knee. In about nine months after my other
- leg broke out in large eating and running sores from
! my knee to my foot, and discharged a great deal of of-
J fensive matter. My groin also broke out in large biles,
i which dischaiged much offensive matter, and at the
same lime my lolt hand broke out in large running
sores nearly to my elbow.
The misery that I have suffered for the last two years
I cannot describe to you. 1 was in such agony that 1
novel rested day or night.
In October last my son brought me one of your bot
tle wrappers ; I read it, and found record of some won
derful cures performed by your “ Extract of Yellow
1 ock aud Sarsaparilla.” I sent and got two bottles of
it, and commenced taking it. In two weeks, to my
great astonishment, my sores all became easy, and 1
could sleep all night, a thing I had not done for two
years. When I had taken six bottles, my sores had
enarly all healed. My sores got well as if by enchant
ment. I-have now used, in ail, eight bottles of your
Extract'of Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla,” and I now
onsider myself well.
I entreat all of rhe afflicted to try th-is Medicine, for
believe it will cure any known disease in the world
Lay aside all prejudice and just try it, and proc aim its
real worth to suffering mankind, aud entreat them to
take it. for it will curethem.
Mvcase is well known in a large portion of South
Carolina, Georgia and Alabama, aud if any should doubt
ihe above cure, I invite them to call on me, and I will
show them the scars. lean be found in Tallapoosa
County, Alabama, one mile from Stoe s Ferry.
RENAJATI HUGHES.
The Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla is peculiarly adap
ted for females of del cate health, resulting from Ir
regularities of menstrual discharges, and other diseases
peculiar to their sex.. The proprietor has in Ms posses
sion a great number of certiC ates of cures performed
of the above description. We assure the afflicted, that
a bottle or two of Dr. Guysott’s Extract of Yellov.
Dock and Sarsapar-TL. will at once regulate those difli
c nlties and renew the natural energies.

FOB, ALL THE PURPOSES OF A * ' 1
I
FAMILY PHYSIC.
Thbkk has long exisfed a public demand for ar j
effective purgative pill which could be relied on as ]
sure and perfectly safe in its operation. This has j
been prepared to meet that demand, and an exten
sive trial of its virtues has conclusively shown witl
what success it accomplishes the purpose designed
It is easy to make a physical pi!!, but not easy tc
make the best of all -pills — one which should have
none of the objections, but all the advantages, of
every other. This has been attempted here, am
with what success we would respectfully submit tc
the public decision. It has been unfortunate foi
the patient hitherto that almost every purgatirc
medicine is acrimonious and irritating to the bow
els. This is not. Many of them produce so rnuct
griping pain and revulsion in the system as to inert
than counterbalance the good to be derived Iron
them. These pills produce no irritation or pain
unless it arise from a previously existing obstruc
tion or derangement in the bowels. Being purely
vegetable, no harm can arise from their use in ant
quantity ; but it is better that any medicine shoulc
be taken judiciously. Minute directions for theii
use in the several diseases to which they are ap
plicable are given on the box. Among the com
plaints which have been speedily cured by them, w;
may mention Liver Complaint, in its various forme
of jaundice, Indigestion, Languor and Loss of Ap
petite, Listlessness, Irritability, Bilious Headache
Bilious Fever, Fever and Ague, Pain in the Side
and Loins; for, in truth, all these are but the con
sequence of diseased action in the liver. As ar
aperient, they afford prompt and sure relief hi Cos
tiveness, Piles, Colic, Dysentery, Hun or*, Scrof
ula and Scurvy, Colds with soreness of the body.
Ulcers and impurity of the blood; in short, am
and every case where a purgative is required.
They have also produced some singulrrlv suc
cessful cures in Rheumatism, Gout, Dropsy, Giuvol
Erysipelas, Palpitation of the Heart, P-ins in tin
Back, Stomach, and Side. They should be freely
taken in the spring of the year, to purify the bloor
and prepare the system for the change, of seasons
An occasional dose stimulates the stomach anc
bowels into healthy action, and restores the appe
tite and vigor. They purify the blood, and, by then
stimulant action oh the circulatory system, reno
vate the stftngth of he body, ahd restore tht
wasted or diseased energies of the whole organism.
Hence an occasional dose is advantageous, even
though no serious derangement exists; but un
necessary dosing should never be carried too tar
as every purgative medicine reduces the strength,
when taken to excess. The thousand cases in which
a physic is required cannot be enumerated here, but
they* suggest themselves to the reason of every
body; and it is confidently believed this pill wd
answer a better purpose than any thing which hay
hitherto been available to mankind. Vv hen then
virtues are once known, the public will ho longm
doubt what remedy to employ when in need of.-
aathartic medicine. Being sugar-wrapped they ar
pleasant to take, and being purely vegetable, n<
barm can arise from their use in any quantity.
For minute directions see wrapper on the b»>x.

HOBENSACK’S WOHM SYRUP. —Anarticle
founded upon Scientific Principles,compound
ed with purely Vegetable substances, being per
fectly safe when taken, and has never been known
to tail in curing the most obstinate ca.-e. Worms
can never exist when this remedy is once used,
from tho fact that it not only destroys them but
romoves all the slime and mucus which may re
main.
v THE TAPE WORM.
This worm is the most difficult one to destroy of
all that inhabit the human body. It grows to an
almost indefinite length, and becoming so coiled
and fastenod in the intestines and stomach as to
produce fits, St. Vitus’ Dance, Ac., which is the
cause of many going to the grave, Lot believing
that these complaints have their origin from the
Tape Worm; consequently they do not use the
proper medicines for their disease. To thoso who
are afflicted with this awful foo to health, I rocom
mend the use of my Worm Syrup, and LiverjPills,
the Syrup to bo taken in doses of two table spoon
fuls three times a day, then take from five to eight
of my Liver Pills, to dislodge and pass the worm.
By strictly following these directions, the most ob
stina.e cases of Tape Worm can be speedily cured.
ROUND OR STOMACH WORM.
This worm is usually found in tho small intes
tines, and is the worm most common to children,
yet it is not entirely confined to them, as adults
have frequently been known to suffer with them.
The Symptoms most prominent while affected with
this worm, are hardness and fullness of the belly,
slimy stools, looseness of the bowels, picking at the
noso, a bluoish streak under the eyes, Ac, If you ,
or any of your children have any of the above
symptoms, IIOBENSACK S WORM SYRUP can
safely be depended upon—by using it veu have a
certain, safe, and speedy cure; and if after using 1
t according to the directions, the patient is not
restored to health, and the worms thoroughly era- 1
dicated from tho system, you can rest assured there '
is no remedy beyond the grave, as for f ,il, there is
no such word as faii with those who use my Worm
Syrup.
ASOARIDES Oil SMALL THREAD WORMS
Those worms, to which the human system is lia
ble, are tho most troublesme of all others. They
are generally to be loundin the rectum, and if al
lowed to remain, from the irritation they produce
lay the foundation for serious disorders, such as
inflammation of tho bowels, and other derange
ments of the stomach. The best and safest medi
cine that can be used is HOBEN SACK’S WORM
SIRUP. Such is tho astonishing power of my
medicines over Ascaradies, that I defy any one to
produce a case where my Worm Syrup and Liver
Pi! Is are recommended to be used they will not cure.
All that is necessary is to use the Syrup in accord
ance with d'rections on each bottle: and in ease a
gentle purgative is required in order to allay tne
irritation they produce, the Livor Pills by their
sympathizing action and healthy operation upon
j the bowels, is the most pleasant medicine that can
i be raken.
