The Childrens’ Fete Day
May 16th promises to be the
greatest day in the history of Fitz
gerald for the children. The fete
will consist of a parade first, begin
ning at the corner of Main and Jes
samine Sts. At the end of the par
ade there will be a: May pole dante
.and crowning of the May Queen.
Leading the procession, when the
Queen makes her triumphal entry
will be herald with his bugle; next
the courtiers, Queen’s attendants and
pages.
The May Queen will be selected
by popular vote at Adams’ Candy
Kitchen. Any little girl under
years is eligible.

Galloway, cashier of the Bank of
Collins, is a puzzle to local physic
jans. When he was brought here
several days after he had made an
effort to kill himself by putting a
bullet in his head it was thought he
lhad no chance to get well. The
bullet drove out a portion of his
lbrain. and yet, say physicians, he
has a chance to get well. He takes
