Miss Brace ENTERTAINS.
One of the most enjoyable events
of last week was a rook party given
by Miss Mamie Bragg at the home
of her brother on N. Main St., where
she has been visiting for the past
three months.
The reception hall and parlor was
prettily decorated with spring’s most
fragrant flowers. The color-scheme
was yellow -and green, which was
carried out in every detail.
Assisting Miss Bragg in entertain
ing were her sister-in-law, Mrs. Bragg
and Mrs. Flournoy.
During the afternoon delicious
fruit punch was served by littie Miss
Emily Griffin, and at the conclusion
a salad course, followed by a lovely
ice course, was served.
The invited guests were Misses
Nell Bernard, Pauline Crawley, Ma
zie McLauct lin, Modena Powell, Iva
Bea Rogers, Mae Bailey, Hazel Tis
del, Mrs. Short, Mrs. Graley Hale,
Mary James.
Mrs. Mattie Bunch, of Bartow,
Fla,, arrived in the city Saturday
and will spend some time with
the family of her son, Ml, W. A.
Green.

Mrs, W. P. Meyer has gone to
Macon, to attend the Reunion.
Messrs. A. E. and G. C, Adams
are the proprietors of Fitzgerald’s
newest business enterprise, The
Southern Adjustment Co., a com
pany whose business it is toadjust
freight claims and make legal col
lecticns. There is a needy field
for such a business in Kitzgerald
and the venture of these youngmen
will no doubt prove successful.
Mr. Frank Freeman, of Ocilla
was in the city yesterday.

of the wedding is from the Thom

On dSunday, April 28th, at five
o’clock p. m., atthe Baptist pas
torium. at Thomasville, Ala.,
Miss Helen Clavton Blizard was
anited 11 marriage to Mr. Eugene
C. Journey. The wedding was a
very quict one, being witnessed by
ouly a few friends of the family
and the contracting parties. The
oride is one of Thomasville’s fair
est young ladies; possessing a
sweet disposition, sunny nature,
charmng in grace and manner,
and loved by all who know her.
The groom is a native of Tennes
see, bul has becn living here for
some time, hoidi.g a very impor
tant and responsible position with
the Postal Telegraph Co., but 1s
to be transfered to Birmingham,
Ala,, to a more lucrative position,
He is a high toned christian young
man, fine character, and fine pros
pects. He is held in very high
esteem by a large circle of friends.
The bride is the daughter of Rev.
A. L. Blizard, che beloved pastor
