The Moonlight Picnic at Lucy

Company will play a return en
gagement at the Grand Opera
House in this city next week, in
troducing all mew plays. They
will be here for only three days,
Thursday, Friday and Saturday,
and a complete list of the plays
they will produce will appaar in
next Tuesday’s issue of this paper.
After their successful engage
ment here several weeks ago, the
Maddocks-Fields Company needs
no introduction or recommenda
tion to the public, as their past
record speaks for -itself, and to
merely say, ‘‘They’re coming” is
sufficient. Popular prices will pre

Little Miss Ethel Ligeour has
returned from 8 visit with rela
tives in Brunswick, and was ac
companied home by Mrs. J. F.
Lasserre, who will be the guest of
Mr. and Mrs. Ligeour for some
time.
Judge Pottle for
Court of Appeals
Atlanta Ga., August B,—The
formal announcement of Judge J.
R. Pottle as candidate for the
state court of appeals, which was
inade yesteaday, is of espeeial in
terest because this is one of the
few judgeship races to be decided
by the August 21 primacy and for
the further reason that Judge
Pottle comes from a tamily of
lawyers who have distinguished
themselves at the bar and bench.
His father, Judge Xdward H.
Pottle, for many years presided
over the northern circuit, and now
lives at Warrenton, His brother
Hon, Joseph E, Pottle of Milledge
ville, is solicitor general of the
Ocmulgee circuit.
Judge Pottle lives at Blakely,
in Early county, and is the only
man from southwest (Georgia on
either the supreme or appellate
court vench,
Mr. W, H. Simmoas, formerly
of this city but now of Atlanta,
was shaking hands with frieads
here Saturday.
