Is Being Served
Atlanta, Oct. 24.—Dr. S. Mer
ritt, superintendent of the muni
cipal tuberculosis sanitarium, has
admitted charges that he put a
pillow over the face of a little
girl tubercular patient to make
the child stop crying. The affair
will be probed by a special com
mittee of the city council. An
other charge against the institu
tion is that pork and ‘‘hot dogs,”’
or wienerwursts, are being serv
ed to the patients.

Nick G. Doganis, Leon Gezetas
and William Stamato Poulos, resi
dents of this city, who have been
off on a furlough from the Grecian
Army, subject to call, returned
this week to their native country
to fight Turkey. All Greeks in
this country who are off on fur

turning to Greece to fight for their
country and in case any should
fail to go back at this time, they
could never again set foot upon
their native soil, as that act would
forever banish them.

Atlanta, Oct. 24.—When Judge

arms by members of the poliee.
He said the law gave a police
man no right to fire upon a flee
