AGRICULTURAL EXHIBIT BY THE BOYS’ CLUBS.
GEOKRGIA BOYS' CORN AND COTTON CONTEST.
Boys wishing to contest for prizes must observe the lollow
ing rules:
1. All boys must be enrolled as members of the clubs.
2 All boys must be between the ages of 10 and 18 years of
age, except the boys of the District Agricultural Schools who
work for scholarships to the State College of Agriculture.
These may be any age above 15 years.
3. The members of he club must agree to read the nstruc
tons from the U. S. Farm Demonstration Work and the State
College of Agriculture.
4. Each boy must plant his own crop, and do his own work
as far as possible. A small boy not trong enough to handle a
large implement may employ such help as he needs for the
heavy work.
5 The measurement of the acre and yield must be made by
a reliable committee of two or three members, appointed by the
county commissioner of education, the principal of the school,
or director of the club work of a cunty.
7. After the corn has been measured, a written report of
the crop, and a ten ear exhibit must be sent at once to the
county school commissioner, or dirctor of the club for contest
at the fair. .
6. In awarding prizes, the following basis shall be used:
(a)tßest yield per acre—3o per cent.
(b) Best showing of profit on investment—3o per cent
(c) Best exhibit of ten ears—2o per cent.
(d) Best written account, showing history of crop—
-20 per cent.
Nore.—The written account, of not over oo words, should
be in the language of the boy, giving a carefut description of
his method of growing the crop.
7. 'The foregoing rulzs should govern the acre contest: All
state, district and national prizes are given on acre yields.
8. Where a county is organized by the County School
Commissioner and teachers, or County Demonstration Agent,
a boy wishing to enter the state contest must be enrolled in the
local school club, or county club. -
The following prizes will be awarded by County School
Commissioner, Prof. R. J. Prentis, from county fund pro
vided for this purpose.

Library, entitled, “Tilling he Soil For Profit and Pleasure.”

this manifestation of interest in the matter.

Cattle, Swine and Sheep
i CATTLE.
1. Contest in this department open to Ben Hill, Irwin and
Wilcox counties.
2. Entries close on Saturday, Nov. 10. Provided, how
ever, that wherever exhibitors are exhibiting at other fairs,
they may make entries up to Nov. 20 inclusive. All animals
entered for competition in this department must be on the
grounds not later than 12 m. Tuesday, November 19. .
3. No charge will be made for stalls. Applications for
stalls must be made at the time animals are entered.
4. Pedigree of registered animals must in all cases be traced
to the American or Foreign herd books for the particular breed
to which they belong.
5. The Superintendent shall exclude stock from competi
tion should there be any unnecessary Or embarrassing delay
on the part of exhibitors in bringing animals to the show ring.
6. No barren animals will be allowed to compete for prem
jums in breeding classes. If protested, satisfactory evidence
must be furnished to the Superintendent in charge, by affidavit
or otherwie, that the animal has been, and is when shown, a
breeder. If not, such animal will be excluded fro mcompetit
ion,
7. Exhibitors must have owned all animals shown by them
for premiums for a period of at least thirty days prior to the
date of exhibition, and affidavit to this effect may be provided.
8. Exhibitors must not at any time offer any information
to judges concerning their own exhibit or the exhibit of com
petitors, unsought by the judges, or in any manner seck to
commit them or any one of them to an opinion.

Horses, Mules, Ponies and Colts
Exhibitors must have owned all animals shown by them for
premiums for a period of at least sixty days prior to the date
of exhibition, and affidavit to this effect may be required.
Exhibitors of horses, mules and ponies must inform them
selves when their stock will be judged, and stock must be in
show-ring promptly after being called. Stock not in ring on
time may be ruled out from competing. :

Woman’s Work
Professionals may exhibit, but will not be allowed to com
pete in this department.
Every article must be the product of the exhibitor's own
work, must not have been exhibited prior to 1912, and must be
for domestic use.
Prizes will not be paid according to ribbon, but by the awards
shown in the Judge's book, and the Judge's record will be final.
No premiums will be awarded on any article unless it is
meritirious.
Entries close Saturday, October 12, but the Fair Manage
ment requises exhibitors to make entries as long before that
date as possible.
Exhibitors are urged to bring or send their ex]’bits to the
Fair, and all articles must be at the Woman’s Juilding not
later than Monday, November 17, 12 noon.
There is no charge for making entries, but each exhibitor
should buy a season ticket for $1.60. :
All articles, cakes, breads, jellies, et¢., etc., entered for prem
jums in this Department must be placed in building designated
for same.
The Judges for this department will be out-of-town ladies
who are thoroughly competent and the awards will be made on
Friday, the third day of the fair.

FINE SEWING MACHINE AND HANDWORK EXHIBITS.
This display will be in he 2nd story of the main building
and a space 40x50 has been alloted and will be well lighted
from sides and overhead skylight. The two doors of entry will
have locks and can be closed a any time.
This entire building will be locked at night and a watchman
will remain in the building all night. So those who make ex
pensive exhibits need have no fear of loss.
The Judges of this department will be out of town ladies
who are thoroughly competent to make awards according to
merit. Awards will be made on Friday, third day of the Fair.
