Ho lias a very fine lot of them, including hyacinths, narciosua, iris j snow drops and othors, that produce ths ear liest spring flowers and the ..wucto it. They are just tho thing for window and parlor gardening, as with comparatively little care one can havo very fine blooms nearly all winter. Those bulbs or* very excellent for foroing in glarsoi, and they cost but a small amount of money. | tiler :i lluralnr. Night boforo lost a gentleman sqnt, in hnste, to tho barracks for nn offifccr ty come quickly, os a burglar was maraud ing upon the promises of a neighbor. Ths house wag pointed ont, and tic offi cer vu told that tho burglar was jin the kitchen tbat very minute, Kimball found tho front gate open, ns if the thief were preparing tho way for a ready escape if discovered, and on going to tho fear of tho building ho found the kitchen door open and heard tho thief plundering around, and making some considerable noise while at it. Nil arrest was made. t The Mayor's Court. Tho attention of tho Mayor's Coart yes terday mornir -, was monopolised by momliers of the Caueutsian race. The passqrs-by will never know the difference. However, wo are off the subject. We merely meant to give thanks to Mr. Grant with 1,000 feet of leading hose, for this day of thank-giving. And we hope the balance of mankind may l>o fortunate enough to Imve as much of that diet ns they ami their little ones can cat to-day; though we very much fear there are some who have not. Wouldn't it bo the right kind of a Thanksgiving if all the poor in /the city were put in a proper condition for thanksgiving. It would bo a handsome experiment for some one to try. An Explanation. We arc authorised to state that at the tiino of tho failure of Messrs. Burr &. Flanders, they owed Messrs. I. C. Plant A Son about tho amount named in yester day's paper (512.233 17.) but Messrs.
