C, W. nterlek’s Steam Cwoker.
Those families who are without this
moat important oddest Jum to their kitch
en furniture, should lose no time in sup
plying themselves with an articlo which
wilt do their cooking of itself, even in tbo
hands of a norice.
The “Steam Cooker" ia divided into
several detached aections, with a boiler at
the bottom, which, placed upon the stoTO,
supplies the neceae&ry heat. As many
dishes can bo cooked simultaneously as
there are sections. Half fill No. 1, the
boiler, with water, and set it orer the fire
in an uncovered stove. Fat no water in
the other sections except for rice, hominy
and dry beans. These require about a
tea-cup full of water to a pint. When
needod, lot tbo water in tbo boiler be re
plenished with boiling water from tbo
kettle. A gloece Into tbe spout of tbe
boiler will always tell when more water is
required.
Tbe cooking is done by steam, which is
all retained insido of the several vessels,
which prevents the smell of tbe food
from eecaping, to tbo great annoyance of
house-keepers. The earing is very great
when compared with open roasting or
baking, nor is there such constant atten
tion required oy the cook to prorent burn
ing.
These tin sections or vessels, also au
periods tho necessity of iron pots,
eta., and proserre the peculiar flavor of
each vegetable or meat.
Any description of food may be
stsamed or stowed In It to perfection
Tha cost for ordinary me, Is bat five
dollars each.
This cooking invention took tbe prize
at the late State Fair, and is higly in
dorsed by the judges of tbe manufactur
ers department. All who wish to pro
vide thomselres with the invaluable
piece of kitchen furniture should apply
at once to tho attentive agonts in Macon,
Wo cordially indorse the ateam cooker.

Wo clip from tha Worcester, Massa

troupe appeared last night at Musio Hal),
bsforo one of the large,-t and most en
thusiastic audiences that was ever seen

beiUfr oecupit-J. The psrforman.-e open
ed with tho uanal rtpertoire of minstrelsy,
in which the songs and comicalities of
the performers were rapturously applaud
ed und heartily enjoyed. Tho olio of
specialties was made up of danoes, songs
and Iaughabls comicalities. Miss Mabs,
Ssntley, Marie Fascoe, Kato Ifajnham,
McDermott Sisters, Florida Flimsoll, Gil
bert, Hensbaw and Collins, Kosa Lee,
Hattie Forrest and Lula Mortimore, in
thoir various specialties were specially
good. The concluding musical burlesque,
entitled “Paris," iu an extravaganza of
merit; it offers opportunity for display of
dress. To-nigbt there will be an entirnly
new programme. The oompany dress
elegantly. If wo may judge from the
unbounded applause that shook tbe build

ciation) we may eafely say that the
troupe of Mme. Bentz was thoroughly
enjoyed.
