T HE attention of all parlies concerned is
hereby called to the following resolution of
the City Council of Macon, passed at the regular
meeting held April 29tb, 1879:
Resolved, That the Clerk be instructed to no
tify all parties owing the city any moneys on
account of Licenses that they must either pay
the same at once or file their bond with the
Clerk of the Superior Court for the faithful pay
ment of said moneys upon tho decision ot the
Supreme Court being rendered.
All persons exercising any business of any
nature whatever within the city who have not
paid their license will please bear this in mind
and proceed at once to life their bond as above
stated, or please come up and pay me your

T HE following Ordinances will bo observed
on and alto tho 15th inst:
Ordinance £99—No person shall bo permitted to
throw into the Streets any rotton
fruit, vegetables, dead carcasses,
or other matter, in such quanti
ties as to become oiTenaivo, under
a penalty of five dollars.
Ordinance S09—It shall be unlawful for any por-
son or persons to sweep any rub
bish of any kind into the Streets.
Anyvio ation of this Ordinance
will subject the offender to a fine
of twenty dollars for each viola
tion of the same
Ordinance 310—It will be the duty of the Street
Scavengers to tako away, once a
week, any rubbish, provided the
same be placed in a box. barrel
or some other vessel, on tbo side
walk in front of each house, or at
each gate, in any adjoining alley.
Ordinance 171—No person shall placa in any
street cr sidewalk any empty
boxes or casks, or other obstruc*
tions of any kind.
All dead carcasses or other offensive matter
when reported at the Barracks, City Hall, or to
Air 1* AlcUafferty, Health Officer, or to any of
the Police Force, will be promptly removed,
