Wabhinstow, Juno 14.—In the House

relative to political contributions went

Mr. Buckner, Chairman of the Bank

Mr. Herbert, of Alabama, who bad

a vote on it today, but hoped to obtain
a vote on Monday.

Mr. Young, of Ohio, aeked leave to

a select committeo to inquire into the
cause and effect of the recent tixodua

Mr. Goode, of Virginia, objected, on
the ground that tho committee had that

Tne Senate bill removing the political
disabilities of Wm. N. R. Beale, of Mis

were passed.
Oo motion of Mr. JohnsoD, of Vir
ginia, the Senate bill accepting from
Prof. Edward Fontaine, of Louieiana,
certain maps, etc , relative to the im
provement of the Miaaiasippi river, was
passed. Adjourned.
In tho Senate, a long debate was had
over the seoticn relating to the method of
drawing juritS and repealing the test
oath, tho points raised being substantial
ly those diecnseed on the Bayard bill
lately passed, containing the same pro
visions. Wallace having charge of the
bill, said ho did not wish to foroe a long
session to night, and suggested that a
vote be taken at four o’clock Monday.
Conklmg opposed tho naming of any
hour for closing the debate. There was
no disposition to talk for tho purpose ot
delay, but debate should not be limited.
The debate on the jury clauses wau renew
ed, ’ The Democratic argument was that
while the present law provides that juries
in Uaited States courts are to be chosen
as far ae practicable in tho samo manner
as in the highest courts of the States,
Federal Judges take advantage of exccp
tioa "as far as practicable’’ to mako rules
of court on the subject to suit their own
views, and Judgo Bond was especially
spoken of as one who invariably chose
Republican jury commiseiouets under
hie rule of court.
The other side argued that any nbuao
of the discretion vested in them exposed
the judges to impcaohmeut. At 5:10 p,
m. the Ssnato adjourned. Kellogg said
his only remaining wituosa was Pierre
Magloire, only representative referred to
in Murray’s testimony.
Magloirehad traveled 180 miles on bis

man stated yesterday couoerning tho

point, he bad telegraphed him not to

tho wishes of oonnsel. After Shellaban

Dear Sir—My daughter has been out of health

a tumor come on her side which was very pain
ful.
; I saw Yegetine advertised in the Farmer, and
sent to Bangor and got two bottles. She is now
taking tbo'second bottle; he- health is much

Me Stsvsns—
Dear 8ir—I hava been troubled with Canker
from childhood, causing my mouth to be so sore
at times that I waa unable to eat. Have taken
many preparations, hut with no effect until I
tried your Yegetine, After taking a few doses I
found it relieved tbe faintness at the stomach i
that always accompanies Csnker Humor; and
by the timo 1 had taken the third bottle my
mouth was entirely cured. Have not been
troubled with it since that time, which is eight
months ago. 1 hare recommended it to several
of my acquaintances, and every one speaks favor
ably of its good effoot. Yours truly.
