Xbt prospect of » eerie tu row in the Bxfi- ieal racks oror H*jo*' end John Bbermtn'a r 1 —« to retire the greenbacks, daily tr.gbtens, end famishes the staple of gen aval conversation. Western Radicals are on thsir ears abont it and talk oat tbeir sonti- neats freely and savagely. It Is real sweet to bear them swear with that freedom and vigor to characteristic of the section from wUeSi they oome. Whether tbs row wil 1 iroily come to a head and end in a flraUcUs* shinny remains to be seen. Last night some of the blusterers roosted ctneideraoly lower and talked much more reasonably. Probe* biy they have Been Hayes and Sherman and beao placated or persuaded by arguments nneh m Togns here. Rat eome of them will be obhged to nrako eitbar a raw or their po litical o .’.ln. Price,of Iowa, who offered one or tbo two reioiutions of protest agsinst the Presidents eaggeslien, represents one of the f.rocgfcst Radical districts in that State of dtagastingly one-tided majorities, and Port, of iiiincta, who offned the other, comes fRB on. of nearly tho same stripe. Their i therefore, liad additional significance iwaa rem ukod npon general!v. The cate on the other hand kept their ■ that and proved their wisdom there- It mint have really strangled soma of taem bat they did it nevertheless. I eat in the gallery and picked ont those wlio were nearly bursting to get the Democrats into tho ■crape U was an easy job too and don’t take mot. than a half dezen visits to aoeomplah It most be an acfal strain on half a dozen tnemoem oa ocoaido to keep quiet and aoasstiBiM tbeir orident tuffonng ezeitee my pity. Or courea nobody is sorry for Harry White, of Pcnnsyivama, or ball calf Reed, of Maine, when thus crucified. That is some thing impossible. tilTTISG EOOKOMIOAI,. I bear of some complaint on the part of ho tel people on account or what they speak of aa a disposition to economize ou the part of mtmbaraand Senators this eeaaon.Tbey say their rcoma are empty and their tables de serted, while boarding hcasee aro fall, and the system of having a anito of rooms with meals famished by a caterer thrives won derfully. Tbo latter iadonbtleis mnch moro pep alar than over, and tboso who havo tried rt very naturally incline to ropoat tbeir ex- perisnoa. Io some respects it suits admira* bly, parhcoltrly gentlemen or families when the*, are no smalt children. I have tried all the different systems pretty thoroughly bnt like the latter boat; of oil. Ono apcclal re* commendation is there aro no premonitory ■sttnsll m. of the coni portion of tho moji from a naeal stand point. This has oon- ipicoons advantages especially in snmmer. Dtpond npon it that is tbo best way to live la Washington except of conrso to keep boose ard bo lucky enough to keep clear of the plumber ami gaa man. When Congress first meets it is so bril liant that it hurts your eyes. When Con gress is abont to adjourn and without char tering other oompimos it rivals a tallow can dle. It oogbt to be a penal offense for Con gressman to havo their gas bills receipted ■alhxvo hoard the gossips say was the ease. Tboso fiL O’s. who keep bouse hors in riaidcnccs or tbeir own, which they benght or built in oasior times, and who also get tneir gas froo and their children edueitod at the public expense, certainly ought to savo some* th.ug.
