Baitimork, Oct. 3.—Five hundred bales of
Cotton were sold to-day in tbe New York
market. No change had occurred in prices.
The Grand Jury in Philadelphia have found
trne Bills for Treason again u fire white men
and twenty-seven negroes, who were engaged
in the Christiana outrage.
The City of Manchester has arrived at Phil
adelphia from Liverpool.
New Orleans, Oct. 1, 8 P. M.—2,000 bales
of Cotton were sold on Tuesday, and 3,000
on Wednesday. Tin demand is good bat
prices are lower. Middling fc quoted at 7| and
good middling atߣc!s. Prime Yellow Corn is
worth 48 cts. Mess Pork is offering at sls,
bat there are no buyers.
New Orleaut, Oct. 2 —On Thnrsday thirty
five hundred bales of Cotton were sold. Mid
dling was worth 7s. Bacon has a downward
tendency, and Sides are quoted at eleven can's.
Freights are advancing, and Cotton to Liver
pool is quoted at half a penny, and to Havre
at one cent.

nouncing that tho revolution in the Northern

cessful.
New Orleans, Sept. 3'—Alderman Win
McLaughlin killed Aldermen Wm. Silk, in a
political quarrel last right.
Syracuse, Oct I.—Henry, a fugitive slave,
was arrested to-day, aud whilst undergoing an
examination escaped. He was subsequently
arrested, which causrd intense excitement, and
no farther examination was made.

has been arrested. The mili ary have been
ordered out and the greatest excitement pre
vails.
Buffalo, Oct. 1 —Harrison, the fugitive
slave, was, after a brief examination, reman
ded back to his master, N D. Payson, of Vs.

tain Andrews, arrived here this morning with
advices from Buenos Ayres to August 8.
She left in port the barques Mason Barnty,
from New York, condemned; Baltic, for New
York, in thirty days; Undine, from Boston,

for New York, in twenty days; Concession,
for do ; Alma, (Lubec) for do.; brig* Cutter,
for New York, in five days; Palos, for Boston
in thirty days; Lraham, for Salem, in seven

bossett. Carter, had sailed for Boston. The
Packet of August 2d contains the following
intelligence from Montevideo up to July 30;h
Uiqueza, Gatzon, and their partizan9 hive
crossed the Rubicon aud staked the issue ol
their cause on tho issue of a general encom
ter. The rebel division, headed by Uiqueza
in person, crossed the Uraguay on the 20:h
