GROVER & RAKER'S
SEWING MACHINES.
K EASONS why the Grovee & Bakrr
i Machine is universally preforrod for family .
| sewing:
j 1. It is more simple and easier kept in order
! than any other Machine.
; 2d. It makes a seam which will net rip or
ravel, though every third stitch is cut.
j 3d. It sews from two ordinary spools, and thus
j all trouble of winding thread is avoided, while j
| the same machine can be adapted at pleasure, ]
j by a mere change of speed, to all varieties of work. I
j 4th. Tho same machine runs silk, linen thread,
and common spool cotton with equal facility.
| sth. The scant is as elastic as the most elastic j
fabric, so that it i* free front all liability to break
j in washing, ironing, or otherwise,
j oth. The stitch made by this machine is more
beautiful than any other made, either by hand
or machine
