PLAN OF THE LOTTERY.
The numbers from 1 to 50,000 corresponding
with those numbers on the Tickets printed on
seperate slips of paper, are encircled with small
tin tubes and placed in one Wheel.
The first 457 prizes, similarly printed and en
circled, are placed In another wheel.
The wheels arc then revolved, and a number
is drawn from the wheel of numbers, and ut the
same time a prize is drawn from the othor
wheel. The number and prize drawn out are
opened and exhibited to the audience, and regis
tered by the Commissioners; the prize being
placed against the number drawn. This opera
tion is repeated Until all the prizes are drawn out
Approximation Prizes. —The two precoding
and the two succeeding numbers to those draw
ing the first 7 prizes will be entitled to the 26
Approximation Prizes. For example : if tickol
number 11260 draws the $70,000 prize, thos«
tickets numbered 11248. 11249, 11261,11262, will
each be entitled to S4OO. If ticket number 650
draws the $25,000 prize, thoso tickets numbered
548, 549, 551, 562 will each be entitled to S3OO,
and Su ou according to the above scheme.
The 5000 prizes of S2O will be determined bj
the last flguro of the number that draws the
$70,000 prize. For example, if the number
drawing the $70,000 prize ends with No 1, then
all the tickets whero the number ends in t, will
be entitled to S2O. If the number ends with No
2, then all tho tickets where the No ends in 2 wll*
be entitled to S2O, and so on to 0 '

This Route is the GREATCENTRAL LINE, via
Columbia, Chestervllle, Charlotte, Salisbury,
Greensboro’, Raleigh, Franklinton, Henderson,
to Weldon, N. C., and passes over an elevated,
healthy and populous couniry, with fine scenery
and pure water. This route is almost entirely
free Irom dust. Passengers and invalid travel
lers wishing to stop at night, taking the day ac
commodation train, will pass over the entire
route by daylight, finding on tho route good
hotels and resting places.

trict, S. C., for making Illuminating
GAS FROM WOOD AND WATER,
by Choate & Tyler’s process, we are prepared to

said Patent.

in uninterrupted use at Kirkpatrick k Leitnor’s
house, at Berzelia, on the Georgia Railroad, since
July last, whore it may be seen. They have a
very superior light for one-fourth the prick of
Gas made from Rosin Oil.
