SEWING MACHINES,
K EASONS wliy the Grover & Baker
• Machine is universally preferred for family
1 sewing:
1. It is more simple and easier kept in order
than any other Machine.
21. It majees a seam which will not rip or
j ravel, though every third stitch is cut.
| 3d. It sews from two ordinary spool.-:, and thus
j all trouble of winding thread is avoided, while
the same machine can be adapted at pleasure
by a mere change of spool, to all varieties of wor*
4th. The same machine runs silk, linen threat
’ and common spool cotton with equal facility.
sth. The seam is as elastic as the most eiasti
; fabric, so that it is free from all liability tobrea
| in washing, ironing, or otherwise.
6th. The stitch made by this muchine is moi
1 beautiful than any othor made, either by hat
