A Year Ago.
A year ago wo wnlkod the woods,
A year ago to-day;
Tbe lanes were white with blackthorn
bloom.
The hedges sweot with May.
We trod the happy woodland ways.
Whore sunset lights between
The slender hazel-stems streamed clear.
And turned to gold the green.
Thrushes sang through the cool green
arch
Whore clouds of wind-flowers grew:
That beauty all was lost to me,
ror lack of love to you. .
And you, too. missed the peace which
might
Have been, yet might not be,
From too much doubt and fear of Fate.
And too much love of me.
This year, Oh, love! no thing Is changed;
As bright a sunset glows;
Again wo walk the wild wet woods.
Again the bluebell blows.
But still our drifted spirits fall
Spriug’s happiness to touch;
For now you do not care for me,
And I love you too much!

Something to be Proud Of!
Concord Mills Cassinicres
THE Undersigned, having thoroughly
tested the Concord Mills Cassimsres
and Suitings, and made them up into suits
for quite a number of our citizens, will
continue to keep theseCassimeres on hanid,
having just received another large case.
The Concord Mills are located at Sm yi na,
Cobb county, Ga., and the quality of the
goods exceil many or the Scotch fabrics;
equals the English saittngs ami other im
ported Cassimeres,andis superior to many
of our domestic manufactures. For a
number of years I did business or Broad
way-, N. Y., and had the handling of im
ported goods, and X feel assured In assert
ing the value of the Concord in quality,
durability and style, in contrast with any
class of goods, at oue-third less in price.
An examination and trial will convince
anyone.
