It acts simulta neously upon the stomach, the circulation and the boiceis ; and thus three processes, which are ordi- I narily the tesult of three different kind? of med | icine, are carried on at the same time, through j the mstr umentality of this one remedial ae e nt which gently stimulates while its disinfects and ex ]>els from the stomach and bowels all that is irrita ting, and at the same time restores their vigor and tone. : Its great merit is, that it meets and neutralizes the ac tive principle of disease itself and when that is gone the symptoms necessarily disappear; and we have only to point to the accumulated testimony of multitudes who have experienced its etleets, to convince increduli ty itself ot its real value. The proprietors submit to the public the following certificate from a highly respectable source of a euro made by using their preparation of Sarsaparilla : Chatham, Mas-., July 28, 1850. Messrs. A. B. Sc. D. Sands : Gentlemen—So truly valuable do 1 consider your Sarsaparilla that I fee! it to be my duty to state tor the benefit of others, the cure elfeeied on’ myself. Previ ous to 1845,1 had a disease of tho throat, which des troyed the tonsils, and was then attacked with viol, nt pain in the head. This soon resulted ia ev. re ini'-ui mation, and immense unafititVs of blot J and ma.u-r were discharged. For six w eeks the disease continued | in the head, and then pervaded the bodv generally, at tacking all the limbs. I was confined to a sick bed, from which I never expected to arise. Many physi cians attended me, and the most skilful pronounced ine past cure. In short, tongue cannot exures? my sufibr ings; and in this condition I heard of your Sarsaparilla, purchased six bottles, and renounced all othe rent ‘die? I did not expect to take all I bought, so debilitated had my system become. Contrary to all expectation, mv health almost immediately began to improve. I was able to attend to my domestic duties, and soon'could walk out, a thing I once thought would be impossible. My gratitude I cannot express, feeling satisfied that noth ing else could have relieved me of tho misery and suf fering I then endured. I most Cheerfully recommend Sands’ Sarsaparilla to all suffering as I have done. Respectfully, yours. REBECCA MAYO. Knowing the above statement to be strictly correct and being near neighbors to Mrs. Mayo, we cheerfully testily to the same. WARREN RODGERS, JOHN HALLET. PRISCILLA L. DODGE, REBECCA SMITH. Another Remarkable Cure. New- York, Jan. 8, 1850. Messrs. Sands : Gentlemen—l have great pleasure in acknowledging to you the great benefit I have received from the use of your Sarsaparilla. A lovely young lasly cured of Consumption The following is from the pen of Wm. H. Levi son, Esq., the distinguished editor of the U. S. Military and Naval Argus, under date New Y'ork, January 16, lhoO. What could he more conclusive! ’•it is seldom we permit ourselves to occupy a space in these columns to speak in praise of any article in the patent medicine way ; but when we see” the life of it fellow-creature saved by the use of any medicine what ever, we co aider it as our right, ii notour duty, to give a simple statement of acts, that others may, in like manner, be beneGtted. The case which has induced us to pen this article was that of a young lady of our aeqaintance, who by frequent exposure to the night air, contracted a Cold which settled on the Lungs before its ravages could he stayed. ( This occurred two years ago this Winter) Various remedies were used, but with very little ellect or benefit. The Cough grew worse, witli copiouse.vpecturation, and the sunken eve, and paie, holl iw cheek, to id plainly that puimonarv disease was doing its worst on her delicate Irarne. The family j physician was consulted, and although he would noi I admit to the young lady that she really had the consump tion, yet he wou and give no encouragement as lo a cure At this crisis her mother was persuaded to make use ol a bottle ol Dr. Kogers’Compound Syrup of Liverwort arid Tar, and we are happy to state she was perfectly cured in Ii sa than three months by this medicine alone aiier even hope was destroyed. It is useless to com-’ uienl on such a case as this, for the simple iruth will resell where polished fiction never can. ‘ If any doubt the authenticity of this sutem-nt, let them call at this office—U.h Military and Naval Argua, No. ! One of our employees, who had suffered severely from a long standing cold, during the past week commenced the use of this medicine, and Irs Cold has entirely disappeared. Os the virtues of Dr. Rogers Cough Medicines prepared from the above articles, it is needless now to speak ; its efficacy in speedily cur ing Cough, Colds, and other lung complaints, which too frequently, if neglected, result i*i Consumption, ts too well established in public confidence to need eulogy now From the New York Despatch, Aug loth, 1818. We have heretofore taken occasion to give oar tes timony in favor of the curative properties of Dr. Rogers’ Compound Syrup of Liverwort and Tar, and would here repeat the advice already given, for all persons who are afflicted with Consumption, or any ol the premoni tory symptoms, to make a trial of Dr.Rogers’ prepara tion. {£T The genuii e is signed Andrew Rogers, on the steel plate engraved wrapper around each bottle, ami is sold wholesale and retail by.
