BARBOUR COUNTY LANDS
FOR SALE.
HHTAYHNG land in the West, I now
offer for sale forth my p antations, lying on
the North Cowikee Cre-k. The place on which
I now reside, known a> the Barna Ivey Plantation
contains 2,475 neres, with a large proportion of
fresh and Hammock land. Th re are on the plan
tation 1,400 acres cleared, and in a fine state f
cultivation, thoroughly drained, w ith a large num
ber ot well located ditches. The dwelling ts
commodious, having 6 large rooms, neatly finish
ed, and is situated within the corporate limits o
Gfonnville, eoDvenfont to the Colleges and
Churches.. Tho out houses are in good repair and
suff’u mil for the accommodation of 100 negroes*
On th 8 place, are two new gin houses, one of
which iaproj-olled by waief power, to which is
attached n grist mill, all in good order.
Lying broadside ibis place is mv other planta
tion, recently owned by Col. W IT- Owens, con
taining 901 av*res. Tin- dwelling, <vut ho.<ea, gin
house and screw are ail new and well finished,
and equally convenient to GlennviHo. Being de
termiued t> sell, 1 would not object to dividing
my lands to suit purchasers. T ’ •- cquainttd
with t!it>se lands I need not 4 .e — thos.. at *
a distance, l would say that they cauuol b c.x j
celled in point of health or productiveness in east j
Alabama.
GJennvdle is noted lor the morality, intelligence j
and refinement of its citizens. It is situated 12 |
miles from ihe Mobile and Girard Railroad, 6 J
miles from Jornigau, a s'-eamboat landing on the j
Chattahoochie river, and 16 miles from Etiflula,
to which point the Soi|th-Western Railroad of
Georgia will soon bo completed. For further par
ticulars, address me at Gtennviile, Alabama.
P.S. As 1 am axious'to carry out my plans west
I propose if I can find a purchaser for the above
named lands, to let them go at the low price of
twelve dollars and a half per acre, cash.
And if pot sold before Saturday the twentieth of
November next, 1 will have them divided into
two or more tracts by a survey, and offer them
on that day at public outcry to the highest bidder.
Laud buyers might do well to examine the
lands before buying elsewhere.

superior virtues for the treatment of these complaints.

CUOOP. WHOOPING COUGH, INFLUENZ A,

Brother Ayer: I will cheerfully certify your Pectoral

HIRAM CONKLIN, M D

West Ma.nciiesT3b. Pa Feb. 4, 1856.
Sir, Y'our Cherry Pectoral is performing marvellous
cures in this section. It has relieved several from
