April 29, GEORG I A. .By his Excellency j A M ES J A CK SO X, Cover nor and Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of this flair , and of the Militia thereof. , A PROCLAMATION, Whereas,, i have re ceived official informa tion of a moft barbarous and ciuel murder having been com mitted on the body of Kaiah Hailey, in the county of Frank lin in the faid (late, on or about the (eventh day of January laft, which appears by a certificate of the verdift of the inqueft held thereon, from John Collins, cfq. coroner of the faid county, and returned to the Executive Department, to have been per petrated by a ceitain John M‘Kee, of the faid county of who has fince ab feomied. In order therefore that the faid JohnMEKce may be brought to exemplary juft ice, I have thought fit to iftue this my pio clamation, hereby offering a re ward of One Hundred DoihiTt to any perfon or perfons, who will apprehend the faid [ohn M Kee, and lodge him in fome fecurc gaol within this ftate.
