CALDWELL, being duly fworn, faith, that two notes of hand figned Jonas Chambers, were given to him by David E manuel, Efq. the above and foregoing are (as near as may be) true copies, the originals are cither loft or miflaid, in fuch a manner that they cannot be found, and that the faid Jos. Chambers acknowledged to him, this deponent, that the two notes as afordaid, were juft, he had paid a few dollars thereof to Iverfon, (perhaps five) for which there was no credit, the balance he would pay as foon as he could fend fome lumber to Savannah.
