of Ncw-York, and were in- I
tended to be landed within the |
limits of the Southern States, |
probably in this Hate.
The commanding Officers of
each Regiment in the Second
Brigade of the Firfl Dlvifion
of the Militia, will vifit all the
Volunteer Corps, Dragoons,
Artillery and Infantry, within
their refpedive commands, and
caufe them to hold themfelves
in readinefs to march at the
fhorteft notice, the Infantry to
be particularly attentive to their
bayonets, and each Dragoon
the like attention tc his fword. 1
The expofed lunation of our
country, and the defpcrate cha
ra#er of thole Brigands (who
refpeft neither age nor fex) will
it is hoped induce an implicit
obedience to this order. Should
any Officer be fo inattentive to
his Country’s intentfh, as to
regie# his duty, he ffiall not
pals with impunity.
