Out in the Country. —We took a

The thoughts of the past crowded in

distinct, as our eyes met continually fa

when in the old church, and in the old
seat, and the solemn saere 1 aisles were
again trembling with inspire i and pa

Ovr Daily Mail.—Through the
energy of some of our citizens and a
long list of petitioners, we have
a daily mail established between Lou
isville and Bartow, and wa trust it may
continue. However there is but one way
to secure its permanence and that is to
increase the business' of the office;—
Let everybody who receives their mail
through the office at Louisville buy all
of their stamps, envelopes, and postal
cards at said office and do all that he
can to increase the receipts of the office
The Post Master receives as his pay
a commission on the receipts of the of
fice, and of course the more he receives
the better able will be to attend to it.
Don’t let it be said that the daily mail
was discontinue 1 for want of pat
ronage. The Postmaster promises to
keep constantly on hand a full supply
of stamps, envelopes and postal cards.
If the office is liberally patronised it
will pay more to the Government and
greater will be the inducement to con
tinue the daily mail. Think of this cit
izens of Jefferson and if you want the
daily mail to continue, buy your
stamps ar home and send away for
them.
The office is open every day except
Sunday, from 9 o’clock A. M. to 12 M.,
and from A M. to 30 minutes after
the arrival of the mail.
