And whereas the fheriff of the county of Jefl'erfon, to whom the fame was direfted, has returned thereupon that you are not to be found in the county of Jefferfon. And whereas I did obtain a feire facias from the clerk of the Superior court of Baldwin coun ty againft you Jofeph Bcven, which is made returnable to the Superior court to be held in and for the county of Baldwin on the 2d Monday in May 1810, which was direfted to the ftier- ifl' of Wilkes county, in which you are charged of having en tered your name in faid county fraudulently and contrary to law, for a draw or draws in the lft land lottery in laid State, and to have drawn lot N° 303 in the lft diftrift of Baldwin, yet lying & being in the county of Bald win. And whereas the fheriff of the county ot Wilkes to whom the fame was direfted, has re turned thereupon that you are not to be found in Wilks county.
