j ing ill the fall so much of this disease
among fowls, I will give your readers
, the benefit of an old poultry grower's

of roup with chickens is an old disease

The symptoms are, generally, first, :
a sor of sneezing and holding tin.

A swelling of the head and ( yes fol
low p and the eyes remain closed

and tin y fail to cal, and soon die.
, Sometimes they have warts on the i
head. Sometimes the swelling around ,

i Charcoal and cayenne popper, mix- j

; and puril’u s them.
Half a teaspoon fill of last ground
! Jamaica ginger, with inyrsh, the size!
of a pea, twice a day, for three days, is'
i an excellent, remedy.
Wood ashes and charcoal, to dust j
themselves in, and air slacked lime, I
and burnt bones, powdered up, are j
excellent preventative* and assistant' j
to cure. Indeed, no poultry yard;
should lie without these in nbund-,
