DUeavo of Stomach Spine and Head.
For tho benefit ofsutiering humanity, I have
thought proper to lay my ease before the public.
Having been severely afflicted for several yonrs
with a disease of tho stomach, spine nnd head—to
enumerate nil tho long train of sympioui* with
which I was troubled, would occupy more space
than would be interesting. Suffice it to say, tlmt
lroqucntly tiller eating, l would be taken with vio
lent and distressing sensations in tho head nnd
back of my neck, extending half way down the
spine, At such times 1 was compelled to take my
bed. Those spells usually continued for several
hours, nnd wore frequently so severe ns to render
life a burden. To obtain iclicf I had recourse ro
thc-best medical aid the country afforded. Having
tried the moat skillful physic inns in Rome, I applied
ot several of the most eminent professional men of
the United States. I wrote to Prof. Dudley, of
Kentucky; had tlio celebrated Dr. Mott, of New
York, written to, and his prescription tried; ap
plied also to the much extolled Dr. Durham ; and
then successively to Dr. Dugas, of Augusta, l)r.
Banks, of Gainesville, Dr. Fort, of M iiiedgeville,
Dr. Cat ridge, of Giuutooga county, mid tlio reput
ed Dr. M. S. Thomson, of Macon. All having
failed to give relief, I finally, upon Dr. Jones, loca
ting in Borne, ventured on giving him a call. For
the encouragement of others, I am happy to certify
that Dr. Jones has given mo more relief than all
the rest combined. I can now say that my health
is belter than it has been for several yonrs past. 1

My Dear Sir:—1 know you will lmvo the kind

in having made known certain matters, contained
in your most invaluable ‘Married Women’s Pri

weight in gold to me. If I express myself rather
warmly, you will see that I can not do so too warm
ly, when l Inform you of tlio extent to which l have,
through it, been benctilted. I will state my situa
tion when 1 obtained your hook through the
esl curiosity. I look upon it as ono of the
fortunate events of my life J had been m
some ten years, ami was the father of seven child-
rent 1 was long struggling unceasingly, to tho end
tlmt I might earn a nnuler,i'.o competency, but the
results of my utmost exertions at the end left
about where I was at the beginning of eac h yt
and that only, with tho most stinted economy,
ffeient with barely the necessaries of life. Finally,
tliis constant effort w.ts beginning to have its effect
upon my health; I felt less capable to o dure its
continuance, while I felt tho necessity o| persever
ance.
“ This constant nticenslng struggle on my part
was imperative in consequence of the prostrated
condition of my wife (with .lecastonal intermission)
for six years, much of the time confined to her bed
and of course incapable of taking thcchnrgcand
management of household affairs. Iler co'.dition
arose Iron causes of which I was ignorant. Oh-
wltut would I lmvo given laid 1 the six yonrs to live
over again! Wlmt would my wife Jmve given to
have been spared-tlio long days nnd .still longer
nights prostrate on u bed of sickness!—all oi* which
would lmvo been avoided, had l then seen a copy
of “Tim Mai ried Womnit’n 1’rlvMe Medical Com
panion.”
