A RE now open, under the management
of Col. John N Young and Lauy. nnd
ready for the reception of visitors. There
have been new improvements mode to the
Springs— fire-places added to the Hotel, and
Cabins with fire-plnces, for the accommoda
tion of lamilies. The water ol these Springs
have been recently nnolyzed by Professor
61eans, of Oxford. So soon as lie has time to
prepare his analysis for publication, it will be
made publlo. It may bo stated now, howev
er, that they eontoin Iron, Magnesia and Sul
phur in sufficient quantities for valuable medi
cinal purposes. They hove already perform
ed some remarkable cur- s Judge James ,\I.
Seuu.ocK. in the Spring of 1850, was severe
ly attacked with Neuralgia, Every effort the
most skillful Physicians could moke was made
to relieve him, but failed. His disease had
the typhcii symptoms, with ulcere on the
lungs, and every appearance of terminating
in the consumption, lie was advised louse
mineral waters, und in his feeble condition he
was token to die Floyd Springs, where he re
mained but seven weeks and then left sound
and well. We refer to Judge Srui.tocx and
Drs. Douglas & Coleman, who will corrober-
ate tile above statement of fuels.
Another rcmnrknble cure wus effected in
the case of Thomas Duke, a mechonioemploy-
ed lo work at the Floyd Springs. He had
been afflicted for twenty years with an erup
tion, or breaking out, nil over hit body. He
was at work some two ‘months, drunk and
bathed in, the waters, and left the Springs en
tirely nnd radically cured He bail applied
lo a number of Physicians for relief, hut he
found none from any remedy until these wa
ters restored him to health-
The Waters of the Floyd Springs have
been found highly beneficial to children in
feeble henltli, deliente females and dyspeptic
persons. There is other pure nnd cool water,
fret, from minerals and convenient for use
The mountain air is salubrious nnd the see c-
ry fine And die Springs are only twelve
miles Nurdi of Rome nnd ibiricen miles Soulli-
Weat of Calhoun. Passengers will be con
veyed Irom either place lo the Springs for One
Dollar; from Rome, by Messrs. Ramey le
Ransom.
