THE Committer appointed to examine the City Mirihal's Accounts, report, that they have carefully examined the fame irem the 21 it of July, 1306, up to the 22d of August, 1807—they find by the Treafnrcr’s receipts he u as paid over to him 257 dollars} SI I*4 cents, and he ha3 received 275 dollars 46 8-4 cents, leaving a balance due the city of 18 dollars 15 I*2 cents. By the report of a former committee, on the settlement cf his ac counts up to July the 2lft, 1806, it appears that there was a balance then due the City Mur fnal of 31 dollars 59 I*2 cents, after deducting the former sum, will leave a balance flue the City Merlhal of 13 dollars 44 cents. We also report, he has the Treasurer’s receipt for 45 dollars 16 cents, and an account for a law suit instituted by order of Council for 5 dollars 50 cent:, which makes the balance of 43 dollars 63 cents he was to refund as goaler pro. tem.
