Those proprietors of the old fix per
cent, and deferred flocks, who may
fubferibe, will receive in lieu thereof
ce new fix per cent, (lock, equal to the
> redeemed amount of the flock fur
rendered, redeemable at the plcafure cf
the United States, under a proviso,
however, tha tr.o rehnburfemenl (ball
be made except for the whole amount
of any such new certificate of dock,
nor till after fix months previous no
tice : arid the proprietors of the three
per cent, flock who may fubferibe,
will receive in lieu thereof, a fix per
cent, flock, equal to fiixty-five per
cent, of the amount cf thjrec per cent, j
furrendcred, redeemable in the fame i
manner as’the new fix per cent, above
mentioned but not reimburfablc, how
ever, without the afTent of the holders,
until after the whole of the new fix
per cent, (given in exchange for cld
fix or deferred as above mentioned) as
well as the whole of the eight per cent,
flock of the United s’tatef, shall have
•been reimbursed. It is also provided,
that in every reimburfemerit which
may take place, a preference will be
given to those creditors who may no
tify their wish to be reimbursed j and
that if the applications to that effieft
shall at any time either exceed cr fall
{fieri of the fun? then applicable to
that purpose, the priority of payment
shall, so far as may be neceflary, be
determined by lot.
The prefen.t flock-holders who re
fide in any part of Europe, and may
assent to that modification, may, at
their option, receive the intcrcft ac
cruing on the new flock, cither in the
United States as heretofore, or fit Lon
don or Auiflcrdam, at par; in which
lad case, the interefi will be paid there
by the bankers cf the United States,

which the fame wouid be payable in
